Where Clemson’s 2024 class is ranked on each major recruiting site

All three major recruiting sites have Clemson’s 2024 class as the No. 1 in the ACC.

With national signing day less than seven months away, Clemson’s 2024 recruiting class has emerged as one of the best in the nation.

The Tigers have 17 commitments in the 2024 cycle, highlighted by five-star linebacker Sammy Brown and five-star wide receiver Bryant Wesco.

There are still some holes in the class, such as the offensive line, where the Tigers have just one commitment as of Wednesday morning. And as Dabo Swinney mentioned last week, he doesn’t expect to go after a quarterback recruit this year in hopes that Christopher Vizzina can redshirt and essentially be that signal-caller for multiple years.

That said, here is how each major recruiting website ranks the Tigers’ 2024 haul thus far:

ACC team recruiting rankings – July update

An updated look at the 2024 team recruiting rankings in the ACC.

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football program have been working hard in the 2024 recruiting class and have successfully built one of the country’s top classes up to this point. 

Two top-tier recruits highlight Clemson’s 2024 class in linebacker Sammy Brown and wide receiver Bryant Wesco, each with the talent to be a future star for the program. The latest addition to the Tigers class was four-star cornerback Corian Gipson, who committed to the Tigers Saturday over Texas and others. 

With 17 commitments in the class, the Tigers have one of the strongest classes in the country and the strongest in the ACC right now. 

Here is a look at the current ACC 2024 recruiting rankings according to On3’s industry ranking football team recruiting rankings.

Clemson climbs the 2024 team recruiting rankings with recent 4-star commitment

Clemson climbed the 2024 team recruiting rankings with the commitment of Corian Gipson.

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson coaching staff have been working hard to build one of the top recruiting classes in the country and have done a great job so far in the cycle.

Saturday, the Tigers landed a top 100 recruit in 4-star cornerback Corian Gipson. According to On3’s recruiting rankings, Gipson is the No.8 cornerback and the No.71 overall player in the 2024 class. A big pickup for Clemson, this commitment vaulted the Tigers up On3’s team recruiting rankings. 

Now with 17 commitments in the 2024 class, Clemson jumped up four spots to the No.6 class in the country according to On3’s industry team rankings. A nice jump for the Tigers; they remain the top team in the ACC and currently only trail Georgia, Ohio State, Florida, Alabama, and Michigan. 

Excellent work is being done by the Tigers coaching staff in the 2024 class.

4-star Clemson cornerback target receives crystal ball from 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong

Clemson receives a Steve Wiltfong crystal ball prediction for a top recruit. Wiltfong is currently hitting at a near 97% rate with his predictions.

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football program await this commitment but received excellent news on Friday with this crystal ball prediction. 

247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong gave the Tigers his crystal ball prediction for four-star 2024 cornerback Corian Gipson. Wiltfong is the best in the business, currently 286 / 295 (96.95%) in the class with his predictions. 

According to 247Sports composite rankings, Gipson ranks as the No.7 cornerback and the No.67 overall player in the class. He would be an excellent addition to the Tigers’ 2024 recruiting class.

The highly touted cornerback is set to announce his commitment on July 22 at 5:00 pm, and the Tigers have as good of a chance as any to land his commitment.

5-star Clemson wide receiver target commits to Tennessee

Clemson fails to land five-star wide receiver Mike Matthews.

Dabo Swinney and the Tigers made the top four for Mike Matthews but failed to land the five-star wide receiver target. 

Matthews announced his decision live on On3’s YouTube channel, committing to the Tennessee Volunteers. The Vols beat out the Tigers, USC, and Georgia for the five-star wide receivers commitment. 

According to 247Sports composite rankings, Matthews ranks as the No.4 wide receiver and the No.13 overall player in the 2024 class. His highest ranking comes from ESPN, which has Matthews ranked as the No.5 overall player in the class. 

The Tigers miss out on a top-tier recruit but remain with two wide receivers in their 2024 recruiting class, five-star Bryant Wesco and four-star TJ Moore.

4-star Peach State OL announces Clemson offer

Swinney and the Tigers offer a four-star 2024 OL target.

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson coaching staff have had a rough time recruiting offensive linemen in the 2024 class. However, they are still pursuing linemen in the class.

The latest news out of recruiting on the offensive line came from Bradwell Institute (Hinesville, GA) 2024 four-star interior offensive lineman Elyjah Thurmon who announced Tuesday that he has received an offer from the Tigers. Clemson became his 13 total offer. 

According to 247Sports composite rankings, Thrumon ranks as the No.25 IOL and the No.407 overall recruit in the 2024 class. The young lineman currently has no crystal ball predictions meaning Clemson has a strong chance to jump into the race and get Thurman’s commitment.

Things are heating up for the Tigers in the 2024 class. Here is a crystal ball tracker to keep you up to date.

Dabo Swinney and the Tigers reportedly had a superb recruiting weekend in Clemson, with a long list of top recruits attending and enjoying everything Clemson has to offer.

The Tigers’ strong showing this past weekend was massive for the program as a team that lives and dies with recruiting as others take advantage of the transfer portal, which has become a significant part of some programs’ roster development. Different strokes for different folks, Swinney and Clemson are good at what they do and stick to it.

We’ve seen recruiting success before, and after the weekend, it seems more to come as multiple top recruits have received crystal ball predictions over the past few days. With the activity, we decided to put together a tracker for these predictions.
