AEW Rampage results 04/05/24: Daniel Garcia’s time to shine

A look at the results of the April 5 episode of AEW Rampage.

While it’s WrestleMania weekend in the United States, AEW takes its action north of the border to London, Ontario, Canada for another edition of Rampage. It squares off with the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.

A packed ROH Supercard of Honor preceded Rampage, and a chaotic episode of Dynamite earlier this week also saw Samoa Joe and Swerve Strickland sign the contract to make their AEW World Championship match official. So how will AEW’s Friday show continue the momentum?

Rampage has a stacked lineup with four matches on the card. Malakai Black of House of Block is in action, as well as Roderick Strong taking on a local talent. Additionally, Serena Deeb tries to show why she’s the “Professor” of AEW. And to close out the night, a Four-Way Elimination match pits some of the company’s best up-and-coming talent

  • Roderick Strong introduces the first-ever Roderick Strong International Challenge; he interviews London Lightning, a hometown wrestler; Strong criticizes London’s name and asks him what his chances are in this match; London says his mother is cheering him on from the couch, and his odds of winning are better than Strong’s

  • Layla Hirsch says while she’s been wrestling in Ring of Honor the past year, she’s back in AEW to prove why she’s legit; she challenges Julia Hart to an Open House Rules match for next week

AEW Collision results 03/02/24: Revolution Eve in Huntsville

AEW Collision filled in the final spot on the Revolution card and added a match to the pre-show as well.

We’re so, so close to AEW Revolution now. In fact, we’re so close that AEW Collision isn’t live tonight, having been taped earlier this week in Huntsville, Ala.

It’s a go home show for sure, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing important happening. For one, there’s a three-way match that will fill the final spot in the

AEW Collision results:

  • Buddy Matthews was supposed to wrestle an unknown opponent when he was attacked by Mark Briscoe; a wild brawl ensued that also drew in other members of the House of Black, but Briscoe was able to fight them all off and nearly managed to burn Matthews with the pyro and flame jests before the House retreated
  • Swerve Strickland admits that Hangman Adam Page tricked him good on Dynamite, but also says it won’t happen again and that he’ll take the AEW World Championship from Samoa Joe at Revolution
  • Dante Martin def. Bryan Keith and Penta El Zero Miedo by pinning Keith to win a spot in the All-Star 8-Man Scramble at Revolution
  • Page is shown angrily explaining that he isn’t proud of the deception he pulled off but insists “I had to do it”
  • Mariah May def. Angelica Risk by pinfall; afterward, “Timeless” Toni Storm blows by May right after the bell and calls for Deonna Purrazzo to join her in the ring, and the two friends turned rivals exchange one last set of threats, then some blows after Storm kisses Purrazzo on the cheek; May tries to help Storm but gets beaten up for her efforts
  • Bang Bang Scissor Gang (Anthony Bowens, Colten Gunn and Max Caster) def. Dark Order (Alex Reynolds, Evil Uno and John Silver) by pinfall

  • Lexy talks to Serena Deeb, who says she’s been putting on clinics week after week; she says anyone watching who thinks they’re the best should step up and prove it against her
  • Private Party def. Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal by pinfall, thanks in large part to assistance from Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett, and the two groups teased a new alliance after the win
  • A video package hypes the Revolution match between Eddie Kingston and Bryan Danielson, with some additional words from both men
  • Thunder Rosa def. Cassandra Golden by submission
  • A video package shows Matthew and Nicholas Jackson trying to give Sting his “exit interview,” after which we get a rundown of the full Revolution card
  • Christian Cage, Brian Cage, Roderick Strong and Killswitch def. Orange Cassidy, Hook, Daniel Garcia and Trent Beretta by pinfall when Killswitch pins Beretta; after the bell, the two teams continue to fight, and Matt Menard ends up getting chokeslammed onto a steel chair by Killswitch before the show simply fades out with fighting still very much going on

AEW Rampage results 02/02/24: CMLL takes over

A look at all the action from Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage.

As Revolution approaches, AEW makes its way to New Orleans for the latest episode of Rampage. While Friday night’s action may not influence the upcoming pay-per-view landscape, some wrestlers still have something to prove ahead of the March event.

On the path to defending their AEW Tag Team Championship against Darby Allin and Sting, Ricky Starks and Big Bill will face The Dark Order in an Eliminator match, aiming to make a statement ahead of the impending title clash. A win also gives Alex Reynolds and John Silver an inside look at a championship match against the incumbents.

Along with a potential highlight reel of a match between Top Flight and Private Party, Rampage promises a packed night of action to begin February.

AEW Rampage results 01/26/24: Komander commands the ring

See how Komander earned a title shot against Orange Cassidy this week on AEW Rampage.

AEW returned on Friday night after a heavily storyline-driven episode of Dynamite. The quest for the next contender to Samoa Joe’s AEW World Championship progressed, including Adam Copeland’s latest “Cope Open” against Minoru Suzuki and a subsequent callout to Christian Cage.

Meanwhile, Rampage featured its own developments, such as the “Freshly Squeezed 4-Way” match for the No. 1 contender to Orange Cassidy’s AEW International Championship and the ongoing story involving Ruby Soho, Saraya and Harley Cameron. Multiple angles unfolded in Savannah, Georgia, creating another chaotic hour of AEW programming:

  • Jon Moxley def. Lee Moriarty by submission, drawing “this is awesome” chants in a lengthy match showcasing Moriarty’s in-ring prowess; Shane Taylor thwarts Moxley’s show of respect after the match as he and Moriarty beat down the Blackpool Combat Club member
  • As Anna Jay gets interviewed backstage, Angelo Parker tells her that he believes he knows who is responsible for everything and questions if Anna was behind Harley Cameron’s kiss; Anna slaps Parker and says she is tired of having everyone’s back when no one supports her in return
  • Konosuke Takeshita def. Christopher Daniels by pinfall within minutes; Don Callis says after the match his family is taking everything from Chris Jericho and challenges the Fozzy singer to face Takeshita in two weeks on Dynamite; however, Kyle Fletcher intervenes, claiming his right to a shot; Callis agrees and says Fletcher will face Jericho next week, while Jericho battles Takeshita the following week

AEW Rampage results 12/8/23: Bryan Danielson teaches Daniel Garcia another lesson

It also appeared Julia Hart welcomed a challenge from Abadon for her TBS Championship on AEW Rampage from Montreal.

It’s time for some magic. And by that we mean Daddy Magic Matt Menard, who is on guest commentary tonight on AEW Rampage.

Only fitting since Menard is from Montreal, sight of tonight’s show (which was taped on Wednesday). There’s some good stuff in store, including a Continental Classic match between Bryan Danielson and Daniel Garcia. There’s almost no way that’s not good stuff.

  • Abadon def. Trish Adora by pinfall; afterward, the lights go out and back on to reveal Julia Hart, who lays the TBS Championship in front of Abadon, who picks it up but finds it gone (along with Hart) once the lights go off and on again
  • The Mercedes Martinez and Willow Nightingale promo is shown again
  • The Don Callis Family (Powerhouse Hobbs and Konosuke Takeshita) def. Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal by pinfall, with Callis offering his “insight” as the fourth man at the commentary table
  • Renee Paquette talks to Top Flight and Action Andretti, who say they’ll accept the trios challenge sent their way by Penta El Zero Miedo last week
  • Bryan Danielson def. Daniel Garcia by submission in a Continental Classic Blue League match, sending Danielson to six points and mathematically eliminating Garcia from contention to advance from the group stage; notably, Garcia didn’t do his dance and reverted to trunks and wearing a towel around his neck on the way to the ring

AEW Collision results 12/2/23: Bryan Danielson leaves Eddie Kingston down bad

Some intriguing matches also got set up for Dynamite and Final Battle on AEW Collision this week.

Saturday night’s alright for fighting, and tonight, it’s more than alright for fighting in a tournament. The Blue League of the Continental Classic takes center stage tonight on AEW Collision from Erie, Penn.

Most notably, Bryan Danielson makes his debut in the Classic as he’s only recently been cleared to compete. He’s back now, and he can compound the misery of one Eddie Kingston by beating the Mad King tonight.

Maybe Eddie is having some remorse over putting both of his championships up for grabs in this tourney, eh?

  • Brody King def. Claudio Castagnoli by pinfall in a Continental Classic Blue League match, going to six points after his first two matches
  • Jon Moxley’s passionate promo from earlier this week is shown
  • Abadon def. Kiera Hogan by pinfall; after the bell, the lights go out and come back on to reveal TBS Champion Julia Hart standing in the corner, then disappearing when the lights go off and on again
  • Samoa Joe is interrupted backstage by Roderick Strong, who insists MJF is the Devil and tries to convince him that the tag team match MJF agreed to on Dynamite is a setup; Joe simply laughs and walks away

  • Andrade El Idolo def. Daniel Garcia by pinfall in a Continental Classic Blue League match, sending Andrade to three points and dismaying Matt Menard, who was sitting in with the commentators
  • Willie Mack throws out a challenge to Wardlow for next week after seeing what Wardlow did to his friend, AR Fox

AEW Rampage Fyter Fest Week 1 quick results: Lucha Bros beat the odds

Get quick AEW Rampage Fyter Fest Week 1 results for the July 15, 2022 episode from Savannah, Georgia.

Did you know that the next AEW pay-per-view isn’t really an AEW PPV at all?

Yep. We’re only a little more than a week away from Death Before Dishonor, a Ring of Honor pay-per-view with a fantastic name that fits the promotion’s ethos perfectly, even under new management. A handful of matches have already been revealed, including a much anticipated rematch between FTR and The Briscoe Brothers.

This is all relevant because the ROH World Championship is being defended tonight on Rampage. Also on tap is what should be a banger of a main event between the Lucha Bros. and Private Party, giving us fond memories of 2019. Oh, and it’s still Week 1 of Fyter Fest, so there’s that.

  • Gresham insists he’s the best technical wrestler in the world and will outclass “all of your favorites” in AEW, but Claudio Castagnoli comes out to potentially object to that

  • Kris Statlander and Athena def. The Renegade twins by pinfall in a matter of minutes, and interim Baddie Leila Gray takes a beating until Jade Cargill and Kiera Hogan run down to handle their own business

‘TUF: Latin America 3’ champion Martin Bravo signs with Combate Global, set to debut Friday

Martin Bravo has found a new home in his post-UFC career and is set to make his Combate Global debut on Friday.

Bravo, who won Season 3 of “The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America,” has signed a multifight deal with Combate Global and is expected to make his debut in the main event of Friday’s event in Miami. Bravo (11-3) takes on [autotag]Andrew Whitney[/autotag] (16-9) in a featherweight contest. The card will stream  on Paramount+ beginning at 11 p.m. ET.

Bravo has’t fought since September 2019 when his UFC run came to an end. The Mexican fighter showed plenty of promise as he won the “TUF: Latin America 3” lightweight season at 23, defeating Claudio Puelles by second-round TKO and extending his then-undefeated run to 11-0.

However, since winning ‘TUF,’ Bravo went 0-3 in the octagon. Now 27, “Toro” looks to get back to his wining ways under the Combate Global banner.

Additionally on the card, a bantamweight bout pitting undefeated [autotag]David Solorzano[/autotag] (3-0) vs. Mexico’s [autotag]Ramon Vizcarra[/autotag] (3-2) will serve as the co-main event.
