Browns sign DE Charles Wiley, cut WR Ra’Shaun Henry

The Browns make a couple of roster moves to start the week

In need of another camp body at the defensive end position as Isaiah Thomas and Alex Wright recover from Pro Football Hall of Fame Game injuries, the Cleveland Browns have added Charles Wiley after a tryout a day ago. Spending time with both the Baltimore Ravens and New York Giants a year ago, Wiley now comes to Cleveland looking to at least nab a spot on the practice squad.

In order to make room for Wiley, the Browns have also released wide receiver Ra’Shaun Henry.

Browns working out former UTSA LB Charles Wiley

The Browns are having a new linebacker in for a workout

The Cleveland Browns made a slew of roster moves after the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game on Thursday night. They then signed two more yesterday as well, filling up their 90-man roster. However, always looking to churn the bottom of their roster, they are hosting linebacker Charles Wiley for a workout (according to Aaron Wilson).

Wiley was an undrafted free agent out of UTSA in 2022 after transferring from Ole Miss. He is a great straight-line athlete, but does not possess the fluidity to bend or change directions at a high level.

One workout usually means there are more to follow, so stay tuned for any other news that could drop.
