Kentucky football coach Mark Stoops and company are always looking ahead in recruiting, and have landed some very good 2025 players already. They’re also looking past that year, and 2027 quarterback Champ Smith has been offered.
Smith, as a Freshman last season at Jupiter Christian in Jupiter (FL), threw for 1,974 yards and 20 touchdowns on 141-of-233 passes with 7 interceptions. Smith also ran for 142 yards and 2 TD on 27 carries.

The incoming sophomore already has major offers from South Carolina, USF, Arkansas, Maryland, Ole Miss, West Virginia, Syracuse and many more are likely to come over the next three years.
Though Smith has three years of high school ball left, many expect him to be a top 10 QB in the 2027 class when the rankings are released. If the Wildcats can keep up their recent success and consistency, they could be in the running to land Smith with their early talks and offer. It’s certainly a name to watch going forward for fans.
After a great camp and conversation with Coach Hamdan I am blessed to receive an offer from The University of Kentucky! @BushHamdan @CoachPerry_UK @UKCoachStoops@UKFootball @TheCatsPause247 @ChrisFisher247 @samspiegs @adamgorney @RivalsFriedman @SWiltfong_ @ChadSimmons_… pic.twitter.com/aaWVUzr07S
