Former Tennessee pitcher Blade Tidwell made his Double-A debut Wednesday with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.
Binghamton competes in the Eastern League and is an affiliate of the New York Mets.
Tidwell started and pitched 4.0 innings in the Rumble Ponies’, 3-1, loss versus the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Tidwell recorded two strikeouts, while allowing three earned runs, four hits and four walks.
Former Tennessee pitcher Chad Dallas started and earned a win for New Hampshire in the contest. He pitched 7.0 innings, recording five strikeouts, while allowing one run and one walk.
Tidwell was selected by the Mets in the second-round (No. 52 overall) of the 2022 MLB draft.
Dallas was selected by Toronto in the fourth-round of the 2021 MLB draft (No. 121 overall).
