Rutgers track and field makes history at Bob Pollock Invitational

Rutgers track and field had a good weekend.

Over the weekend, Rutgers track and field continued to shine at the Pollock Invitational at Boston University. Rutgers recorded over a dozen performances that qualified for the top-10 all-time list. They also improved their NCAA standing in several events.

In the men’s and women’s long jump Sincere Robinson and Celine-Jada Brown finished in the top three. Robinson finished in third with a jump of 7.89m, the third-best in program history. Brown placed second in the long jump as she recorded a distance of 6.28m, the fourth-best mark all-time at Rutgers and No. 15 in the country.

However, Rutgers success was not limited to the long jump. Brian and Kevin O’Sullivan finished third and fourth in the pole vault. The talented duo have each posted a mark this season that ranks in the top 50 of the NCAA.

Additionally, the distance medley relay team, which consists of Brown, Cynthia Boakye, Arianna Smith and Shelby Whetstone, finished in eighth with a time of 3:45.64. That ranks 10th all-time in the program history.
