An Alabama commit that does not receive enough recognition is 2024 four-star linebacker Cayden Jones. The North Carolina native committed to Alabama in April and has been locked in with the Crimson Tide ever since.
Jones plays linebacker for The Christ School in Arden, North Carolina. It has not been the ideal start for the Greenies in 2023. The team is off to an 0-3 start to the season. However, Jones has performed well to begin his senior season.
Jones has recorded 30 tackles and four tackles for loss in three games this season. Meaning he averages 10 tackles per game. An interesting thing to note is that Jones’ team has played three out-of-state teams to kick off the season. Their opponents thus far have been: Lowndes High School (GA), St. Joseph Regional High School (NJ), and Carrollwood Day High School (FL). The level of competition is likely stronger than it will be for the rest of the season.
Therefore, Jones will continue to impress from a statistical standpoint as well as from his performance on the Greenies defense.
Jones is one of three linebackers committed to the Crimson Tide as a part of the 2024 recruiting class. He is joined by four-star Sterling Dixon and three-star Justin Okoronkwo.
Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Jones’ senior season as well as other Alabama football recruiting news.
