The 23-year-old O’Neill (7-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) kept her undefeated record intact on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas when she choked [autotag]Lara Procopio[/autotag] (7-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) out cold in the third round of their women’s flyweight bout.

It was a grappling-heavy contest from the outset, but O’Neill consistently kept one step ahead. She took Procopio’s back in the final round and sunk in a deep rear-naked choke. Procopio refused to tap out, and O’Neill squeezed until her foe went out cold.

Check out the reply of the finish below (via Twitter):

O’Neill, who hails from Scotland, made her UFC debut in February with a second-round TKO of Shana Dobson. She got to show off her submission ability in her sophomore fight with the promotion, and she said there’s more to come.

“I was just stoked to choke out a blackbelt,” O’Neill said in her post-fight interview with Michael Bisping. Hopefully, my coach likes that sh*t. … I’d like to have a couple months off right now to get better.”
