Kirk Cousins asked Twitter what Disney movies he should watch with his kids, so we gave him 10

Kirk Cousins and his family have been on a Disney movie binge recently, and he asked for recommendations. Here are 10 Disney films the Cousins family should watch next

One of the great things about the offseason is that the players get a chance to relax a little bit and just be regular people for a minute. They don’t have to constantly be “on” and in the public eye, and can just kick back with their family and enjoy some good, old-fashioned quality time.

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins and his family has been taking full advantage of that quality time recently, as Cousins let us know on Twitter. Cousins tweeted out that he and his children have been enjoying Disney movies, having just wrapped up watching Ratatouille and Emperor’s New Groove.

He then asked the audience for their recommendations. The Disney back catalogue is immense, and one could spend all day listing off some of the greats from Disney’s hey-day (or rather, hey-days; they have had several ‘golden eras’). Everyone is going to have their favorites, of course, and these are the 10 Disney movies I would recommend for the Cousins’ family to hit up next.

For the purposes of this list, I am going to assume that Cousins and family have already seen the really big Disney animated films, such as Lion King, Toy Story, Frozen, etc.

Butler Blue the bulldog rolled into his team’s Thanksgiving game on Lightning McQueen

Do you want to see Butler Blue the bulldog ride around on Lightning McQueen? Sure you do!

While his Butler Bulldogs were facing off with Florida Atlantic in the ESPN Events Invitational in Orlando, Florida, on Thanksgiving, Butler Blue IV the bulldog rolled into the game in style.

In fact, Butler Blue showed off his wheels as he rode in the back of a customized Lightning McQueen car on the court for all the folks at Walt Disney World’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

We absolutely, positively approve of Butler Blue rolling around Disney World on Lightning McQueen at any park at any time.

That gets a hearty Thanksgiving Ka-Chow from us… and a very special head scratch for very good boy Butler Blue.

Thanksgiving is always special time of year, but it’s even more special when a bulldog rides around on a Pixar character from the Cars universe.

We don’t make the rules; Butler Blue wins Thanksgiving 2023. Submissions are closed; the goodest boy of Butler takes the turkey trophy for cuteness.

Stephen A. Smith had a hysterical fake argument with a caller over Lightning McQueen from Cars

You HAVE to see Stephen A. Smith (fake) arguing with someone over Lightning McQueen.

Longtime sports media personality Stephen A. Smith wasn’t about to let a caller on his self-titled show make a bold claim about the Cars franchise.

Oh yes, the age-old debate on who is the best racer of all time, Lightning McQueen or Strip “The King” Weathers, made its way to Smith’s call-in show, and the host wasn’t about to let the question from “Danny in Wisconsin” about who is the goat in the Cars universe slide without an impassioned response.

While this is clearly all part of a bit for Smith and the caller, it’s still genuinely hysterical to see Smith get faux-bent out of shape over being asked about Lightning McQueen from the Cars movies.

We would genuinely watch 30 minutes of Smith and “Danny in Wisconsin” go back-and-forth about the Cars movies and the Fast and the Furious franchise, which also gets brought up in this segment.

You just cannot script something this wonderful, as Smith’s fake fury merges with a very unorthodox topic to create a delightful moment of live television.
