Normally, an event where two opponents have fought one another so many times would have to be watched on pay-per-view. But the Carolina Panthers and Indianapolis Colts will bring their training camp fisticuffs to a less expensive platform near you.

History
Other than their two-day fight-fest during joint practices this week, the Panthers and Colts don’t have much of a contentious history. In fact, their last meeting was anything but contentious, as Indianapolis thrashed the reeling remnants of a Carolina club, 38-6, back in 2019.
Overall, however, the Panthers are 5-2 all-time against the Colts.
What to watch for
With head coach Matt Rhule already revealing that his team won’t be fielding most of its starters, we can’t gauge where quarterback Sam Darnold is currently at. So, instead, we’ll see how the competition behind him between P.J. Walker and Will Grier continues to play out.
Also keep an eye on who those two are throwing to. The Panthers have a relatively stacked wide receiver room, at least for their organizational history at the position. Omar Bayless, Brandon Zylstra, Keith Kirkwood and C.J. Saunders are making it tough on Rhule and general manager Scott Fitterer, so these games will be vital in determining who sticks on moving forward.
