Patrick Mahomes’ excellence has always been an asset that the Kansas City Chiefs can rely on, but the reigning MVP faltered in the worst way against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 16.
Against the Chiefs’ most bitter divisional rival at Arrowhead Stadium on Christmas day, Mahomes earned the worst Pro Football Focus grade of his career.
Chiefs PFF grades vs the Raiders. By far the worst game of Mahomes career with a 34.2 grade.
Next closest was 2019 week 6 vs the Texans (40.0) and 2020 week 4 vs the Patriots (44.9) pic.twitter.com/gqQzO9QlPf

One bad game won’t define Mahomes’ legacy in Kansas City, but the Chiefs’ loss to Las Vegas on Monday should serve as a stark reminder that the reigning MVP and Super Bowl LVII champions can’t rest on their laurels.
Games like the one that Andy Reid’s squad put together against the Raiders in Week 16 are as frustrating as they are hard to watch for Kansas City’s fans. However, with two contests yet to play, Chiefs Kingdom can rest easy knowing that the team is committed to proving that their latest loss won’t come to characterize their efforts through the rest of the regular season and the playoffs.
