A.Q. Shipley doesn’t believe he will return to Cardinals

The Cardinals brought back almost their entire roster of offensive linemen this offseason after the 2019 season, but one player is notably still a free agent.
Center A.Q. Shipley has not re-signed with the team and it doesn’t appear it will happen.

The Cardinals haven’t closed the door on Shipley’s return. General manager Steve Keim said all options are still open and coach Kliff Kingsbury called it a work in progress.
However, they are very confident in Mason Cole, who competed with Shipley for the starting job a year ago

The Cardinals announced Sunday morning they agreed to terms on a contract with quarterback Brett Hundley, the team’s backup last season.
Hundley had limited playing time last season, appearing in three games, playing in a total of 40 snaps.
He completed 5-of-11 passes for 49 yards. He also ran the ball seven times for 41 yards.
He will be the Cardinals’ No. 2 quarterback, while Drew Anderson and Chris Streveler will presumably battle for a third spot on the roster

The Cardinals bring another hometown player back to Arizona and address the need they have at outside linebacker opposite All-Pro Chandler Jones.
A day after being released by the Lions, Devon Kennard will sign a three-year contract with the Cardinals, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Kennard was a standout high school player at Desert Vista in Ahwatukee. His father played offensive line for the Cardinals in the 90s.
Kennard had seven sacks last season and seven in 2018 for the Lions. He sacked Kyler Murray three times in the Cardinals’ season opener last year
