How to watch, stream, listen to Rams-Cardinals in Week 3

All the information you need to watch, stream or listen to the Cardinals’ Week 3 home game against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Arizona Cardinals have their first divisional game of the season, a home game at State Farm Stadium against the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams. It is the first meeting between the two teams since the 34-11 playoff game last season in the wild card round that sent the Cardinals home and ended their season, setting off a weird offseason.

The Cardinals and Rams are both 1-1, both losing in Week 1 to great AFC teams and then picking up wins in Week 2. This is the Rams’ first road game of the season.

The Cardinals are getting healthier, while the Rams will be missing three of their top four cornerbacks and will have a backup center and backup right guard playing as well.

If you are planning on watching, streaming or listening to the game, the information you need is below.

Cardinals vs. Rams ultimate Week 3 preview

The Cardinals and Rams will clash this Sunday at State Farm Stadium in a pivotal NFC West matchup.

Following a dramatic comeback on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders, the Arizona Cardinals have new life.

It seemed like the team was going to have an abysmal season at halftime of Week 2’s contest. The team had been blown out in every quarter we saw them in.

Now, they have a chance to make a bold statement in the NFC West and jump ahead of the Los Angeles Rams, a heated rival and the current defending Super Bowl champs.

What can we expect this weekend?

Cardinals WR Rondale Moore to miss 3rd straight game

Moore is still recovering from his hamstring injury. He was unable to practice Wednesday or Thursday and was not in the open part of practice Friday.

The Arizona Cardinals will be without wide receiver Rondale Moore for the third consecutive game. After not participating in Wednesday’s or Thursday’s practices and not appearing in the open part of Friday’s practice, head coach Kliff Kingsbury told reporters after practice that Moore will not play against the Los Angeles Rams this weekend.

Moore suffered a pulled hamstring in the week leading up to their season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Moore’s absence means that, once again, Greg Dortch will play an important role on offense. He leads the team with 11 receptions and 118 yards through the first two weeks of the season.

It also means that the Cardinals will play without two of their top four receivers again, as DeAndre Hopkins is serving a six-game suspension for testing positive for a banned performance-enhancing substance.

The Cardinals did not initially put Moore on injured reserve with the hope that he could miss fewer than the four games that are required when placed there. If he is able to play in next week’s game against the Carolina Panthers, then the decision not to will have paid off.

Kingsbury said earlier in the week that Moore was considered day-to-day with his injury.

Rams’ Cooper Kupp nearly impossible to defend

Defensive coordinator Vance Joseph details how good Kupp is and how hard it is to plan for him.

The Arizona Cardinals take on the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday afternoon at State Farm Stadium. Both teams are 1-1. The Rams have beaten the Cardinals in 10 of the last 11 meetings.

Playing the Rams is difficult because they have one of the best receivers in the NFL in Cooper Kupp.

He is a special talent because he is nearly impossible to defend.

Defensive coordinator Vance Joseph spoke to reporters Thursday and detailed how tough it is to limit Kupp’s production.

Part of it is the Rams’ scheme and part of it is just how talented and smart he is.

The Rams make it hard to focus on Kupp.

“They have so many formations,” Joseph said Thursday. “They move him so much. He’s in the backfield. They’re in so many tight formations. It’s tough to match a guy when he’s moving so much, so that’s a tough task.”

As for Kupp’s skill, he really has no weakness.

“He’s very, very good at a lot of things,” Joseph said. “He’s a special player — his body control, his ball skills, his route running, his blocking, his RAC after the catch. He’s strong, he’s big, he’s smart. He’s not lacking anything and the quarterback, he’s in sync with him.”

Kupp is simply hard to defend.

Joseph said his play the last two weeks has been “scary.”

“If you’re playing man, he beats your leverage and he stops on a dime and the ball is thrown on time,” he said. “If you’re playing zone, you have no chance because he gets the zones. He stops in the proper zones.”

It sounds pretty hopeless.

So how do they try and limit him?

“I think mixing it up and sometimes getting close to him, challenging him some, making him beat man to man and sometimes doubling that guy maybe,”  he explained. “But rushing the quarterback and blinding him a little bit will help you.”

So if the Cardinals are going to do with Kupp what they were able to do with the Raiders’ Davante Adams, it will take a varied game plan, another monster game from cornerback Byron Murphy and it will take the pass rush affecting Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Seems simple, right?

Rams’ secondary ailing in Week 3 leading up to battle with Cardinals

Already down CB Troy Hill on injured reserve, the Rams only have three healthy cornerbacks on the active rosters.

The Arizona Cardinals will face the Los Angeles Rams this weekend at State Farm Stadium. They will not be facing a Super Bowl champion team at full strength.

The Rams appear to be limping into the divisional matchup with their secondary.

Jalen Ramsey is a stud but the cornerback position is getting very thin.

No. 2 cornerback Troy Hill was placed on injured reserve earlier this week.

That would thrust David Long into Hill’s role. However, he injured his groin Wednesday was did not practice Thursday. Long played 46 snaps in Week 2, 75% of the Rams’ defensive snaps.

Rookie cornerback Cobie Durant has missed two straight days of practice. He would be the No. 3 cornerback with a healthy Long  but now is not trending t toward playing. He played 23 defensive snaps in the Rams’ 31-27 win in Week 2.

The Rams had a new addition to the injury report — safety Jordan Fuller. Fuller is a rotational safety for the Rams and played 36 snaps on Sunday. He popped up on the Thursday injury report with a hamstring injury and was limited. This happened in Week 1 with Cardinals receiver Rondale Moore and he has not played yet this season.

The Cardinals would love to pick up a home division win over the Rams. They have not beaten the Rams at home since 2014.

They have the opportunity to take advantage of a limited Rams secondary on Sunday.
