In the Arizona Cardinals’ 38-12 preseason loss to the Denver Broncos Sunday, there were 26 players that participated in at least one of the 64 defensive snaps and 45 that played at least one of the 27 special-teams snaps.

Defensive linemen

The injury to Robinson could open a roster spot for Tonga, who is a space-eater like Lopez on the line. Hoskins had a sack for 10 yards along with one quarterback hit and tackle for loss. Carter was signed earlier in the week and tied for the most snaps on the line. He had two solo tackles. Naquan Jones tied for second on the team with six tackles (five solo). Murphy had two passes defensed.
Linebackers

Thomas has played well in the preseason, but the question will be if he is on the roster whether can have the same production playing against an opponent’s first unit. Like Carter on the defensive line, Garrett signed earlier in the week and had a tackle for loss. Maddox-Williams had a half sack and one quarterback hit to go with six tackles (four solo). Nowaske had five tackles (three solo) and one for loss.
