Prediction
Cardinals 6, Reds 3
Moneyline (ML)
The CARDINALS (+135) took it to the Reds (-150) in a 16-2 victory Tuesday following a much-tighter 7-5 in Game 1 of the series.
Don’t expect it to be nearly as much of a landslide, but the Cardinals have a slight edge in the pitching matchup and clearly the hotter offense. They’re now 5-1 in the season series with their last four wins all coming by multiple runs.
Run line/Against the spread (ATS)
Get the CARDINALS -1.5 (+190) on the alternate line after they won by 14 runs Tuesday. St. Louis tore through six Cincy relievers, including position player Matt Davidson, Tuesday while using only four of its own. The more rested bullpen will be key with neither starter likely to go 7-8 innings.
Over/Under (O/U)
Lean to the UNDER 10 (-110) following the Cardinals offensive display Tuesday. They’re still 13-12-2 against the Over/Under for the season and the Reds are 18-18. The O/U in the hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park is 12-6 this season, but expect a tighter, lower-scoring game than we saw Tuesday.
