Pat Surtain eager to make a splash purchase after big extension

“I have to get [myself] a new ride or something,” Pat Surtain said. “That’s something that’s been on my bucket list.”

The Denver Broncos gave cornerback Pat Surtain a four-year, $96 million contract extension on Wednesday that included a $15 million signing bonus. With an average of $24 million per year, Surtain is now the highest-paid defensive back in NFL history.

“It’s life-changing, honestly, to be able to get this deal done so early in my career,” Surtain said. “Some people [aren’t] able to see second contracts. To be able to see that and to be able to have the deal done is a blessing. I’m relieved by it [and] I’m thinking about what I’m going to get first.

“First purchase coming up soon. I’m definitely thinking about that coming up soon, but I’m just very grateful. It kept me grounded, I could say, but also humble at the same time.”

‘Leopard under the car’; incredible encounter caught on video

Footage captured in South Africa reveals a leopard that is not the least bit deterred by the presence of a safari vehicle.

A guide in South Africa has captured rare footage showing a leopard traveling directly beneath his group’s safari vehicle to avoid altering its course.

“This leopard decided to pass not around, but right underneath us!” Marlon du Toit exclaimed last week via Instagram. “Unbelievable!”

Tourists express disbelief as the stealthy feline disappears briefly beneath the vehicle before emerging on the other side, ignoring their presence.

“Under the car…” astonished guests mutter, one after another.

The encounter occurred in Mala Mala Game Reserve, which is sandwiched between Kruger National Park and the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve.

Du Toit explained that wild animals in Mala Mala are accustomed to vehicles and their occupants, as long as occupants remain on the vehicles and maintain their composure.

“It’s also well known that smart, habituated leopards will use the cars and the sounds they make during hunts, to get closer to prey,” du Toit stated.

The guide added, half-jokingly: “Leopards that are so at ease with Mala Mala game viewers that they don’t mind going underneath, instead of around.”

Watch: Coyote howls into the night from peculiar perch

The lone coyote appears to have entered a Tucson automobile dealership before attempting to communicate with other coyotes.

Coyotes howl to communicate with other coyotes so it makes sense that a lone coyote would seek higher ground in the hope that its cries would carry farther into the night.

But the roof of a parked car?

The accompanying footage was captured recently in Tucson, Arizona, and shared by Mary Coleman of KOLD News 13.

“Thanks to Patrick Irish for sharing this video with us,” Coleman stated Friday via X. “He caught this Tucson coyote that decided to hop on a car and start howling!”

The coyote appears to have entered an automobile dealership, perhaps inspiring one commenter to remark: “He might be ready for the Toyoyathon to begin.”

The footage lasts only 6 seconds and it’s unclear whether the coyote’s howls were answered.

#Chiefs CB L’Jarius Sneed’s car was shot up while he was visiting his hometown of Minden, Louisiana per a new report.

Kansas City Chiefs CB L’Jarius Sneed’s car was shot up while he was visiting his hometown of Minden, Louisiana.

TMZ Sports reports that Sneed’s Ford Bronco was vandalized in a hail of gunfire that occurred Friday afternoon in Minden. According to TMZ’s report, the belief is that the shooting was random. No one was in the car at the time of the shooting and no one was hurt in the incident. They also say that Sneed said two of his friends had recently been driving his car.

Sneed’s agent released the following statement:

“A random and unnecessary act of violence occurred while Mr. Sneed was visiting his home town. No one was injured, but gunshots damaged his vehicle. He was briefly questioned and released without incident.”

They’re currently offering a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest or conviction of those responsible for the shooting.

According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Chiefs are aware of the incident but have no further comment on the situation.

Check out Davante Adams’ sweet new Lamborghini SUV

Packers WR Davante Adams will be bringing a brand new Lamborghini Urus to training camp this year.

Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams has a sweet new set of wheels for the start of training camp.

Champion Motoring, out of San Diego, showed off the new 2021 Lamborghini Urus being delivered to Adams, a four-time Pro Bowler who was a first-team All-Pro last season.

The start of Adams’ contract year will begin in style.

According to Lamborghini’s website, the car has “a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine producing 650 CV and 850 Nm of torque” and “accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 190 mph.”

Car and Driver’s review of the vehicle says it “looks unlike any other SUV,” is “faster than any other SUV” and is “more practical” than other cars in the Lamborghini line.

The car starts at around $220,000, although Adams’ version is clearly customized.

Money isn’t an issue here.

An elite NFL receiver, Adams is going into the final year of a four-year,$58 million deal, but a mega-deal – worth $20 million or more per year – is probably on the horizon. Last month, he said discussions with the Packers were in the beginning stages.
