Capitals at Flyers projected goalies
Darcy Kuemper (12-9-4, 2.45 GAA, .920 SV%, 4 SO) vs. Carter Hart (11-12-6, 2.97 GAA, .908 SV%)
Kuemper has won back-to-back appearances, albeit against the lowly Blue Jackets, allowing just 2 goals on 65 shots. He hasn’t lost in regulation in 11 straight starts since Nov. 23, which includes a 3-week span due to injury, too. He topped the Flyers Nov. 23, allowing 2 goals on 23 shots.
Hart was dissected for 6 goals on 35 shots last time out against the Maple Leafs, and he has won just once in the previous 3 starts and 4 appearances. That lone win was against the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday.

Capitals at Flyers picks and predictions
Prediction
Flyers 4, Capitals 3
Moneyline
The FLYERS (+145) looked awfully good shutting down a high-octane Buffalo Sabres attack last time out, and it could easily do the same against the Capitals (-170) on home ice.
The Caps struggled to beat Elvis Merzlikins, who has been very giving of late. Hart hasn’t been great lately, but the Philly offense could give him enough support. As a moderate underdog, the Fly Guys are worth a look.
The FLYERS +1.5 (-170) aren’t priced out of line if you’d like a little insurance, and just can’t pull the trigger and take Philadelphia straight up on the money line. Obviously, the ML is a much better value, but either way, Philly should end up on top.
Over/Under
OVER 6.5 (+110) is worth the look here, especially at plus-money.
Yes, Washington is coming off a low-scoring shutout win, and Philadelphia is also coming off a road blanking of the Sabres.
However, the Over is 4-1 in the last 5 against Eastern Conference teams for the Caps, while cashing in 4 in a row at home for the Flyers. The Over is also 7-3 in the last 10 games overall for Philadelphia, and 5-1 in the last 6 against Eastern Conference foes.
