Michigan State football lands veteran offensive line transfer

MSU continues to beef up the OL, picking up second transfer on the offensive line

Michigan State has had a very active week in terms of adding to their team via the transfer portal, and that continued on Tuesday. This time, the Spartans addressed a key position of need, beefing up the offensive line.

Caleb Carter, a transfer from Western Carolina, has made his decision to commit to Michigan State. 

A 6-foot-3, 310 pound offensive lineman, Carter can play any of the three positions on the interior of the OL. He was a multi-year starter with the Catamounts and is a native of Jacksonville, North Carolina.

MSU to host an offensive line transfer on an official visit

Michigan State football is set to host an elite running back transfer on an official visit, Monday. Now, the Spartans will be hosting an offensive lineman on the same two days.

Caleb Carter, a 6-foot-3, 310 pound offensive line transfer from Western Carolina will be officially visiting East Lansing from Dec. 9 to 10. The visit was first reported by On3’s Jason Killop.

Carter would most likely translate to the guard position and would have one year of eligibility remaining.

Michigan State has a need for offensive lineman, planning to pursue and land 3-4 in the transfer portal, and Carter is the perfect prospect to get the ball rolling.

Michigan State football has extended a scholarship offer to an FCS offensive line transfer

Michigan State football has extended a scholarship offer to an FCS offensive line transfer.

Caleb Carter announced on Thursday that he’s received a scholarship offer from the Spartans. Carter played at Western Carolina and is a graduate transfer.

Carter entered the transfer portal last week. He is listed at 6-foot-3 and 310 pounds.

Since entering the portal, Carter has received scholarships from USF, Troy, Georgia State, Bowling Green, ECU, Buffalo, Old Dominion, San Diego State, Florida International, Kent State, Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan.
