The Baltimore Ravens went out this offseason with a clear mission to improve their defensive line. They started with a big force, trading a fifth-round pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars for defensive end Calais Campbell.
Though Campbell is coming off a slightly down season by his standards, he still put up 6.5 sacks, 25 quarterback hits, 33 pressures, and a fumble recovery for a touchdown. Over his three seasons with the Jaguars, Campbell accounted for 31.5 sacks, 77 quarterback hits, six forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries including two returned for touchdowns and 195 tackles.
Time and time again in these highlights, you’ll see Campbell get quick penetration in the backfield. Whether against the run or staring a quarterback in the face, Campbell disrupts plays. Hopefully, Campbell can do the same thing in Baltimore and help the Ravens get over the hump to a Super Bowl.
