Bulls at Trail Blazers: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Trail Blazers 119, Bulls 111

Money line (ML)

The Trail Blazers (-450) should be able to push past the Bulls (+350) in their return to Rip City after dropping two of the past three on the road. However, putting up four-and-a-half times your potential return on a team that is just .500 overall is not worth the tremendous risk. AVOID.

Against the spread (ATS)

The BULLS +9.5 (-110) have won three of their past four games straight-up, including a 10-point win over Western Conference-contender Dallas last time out. Chicago has also covered four of the past five, all as an underdog of 3.5 or more points. The Blazers -9.5 (-110) might win at home, but Chicago will do enough to keep it in single digits.

Over/Under (O/U)

There is a slight lean to the UNDER 233.5 (-105), but only play a small-unit wager. Chicago’s defense is a dismal 30th in the NBA, allowing 121.3 PPG, and Portland’s offense puts up 115.5 PPG, ranking eighth in the league. They’re also yielding 119.3 PPG, 26th in the league, and all of those numbers mean this won’t be a defensive slog. Look for a total right around 230, so it’s going to be close.
