The Chicago Bulls (35-39) visit the Minnesota Timberwolves (51-22) Sunday. Tip-off from Target Center is set for 7 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Bulls vs. Timberwolves odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Bulls lead 1-0 after a 129-123 OT win in Chicago Feb. 6

Chicago was routed 125-108 by the Brooklyn Nets Friday while failing to cover as a 3-point road favorite. The Bulls were led by F DeMar DeRozan and his 31 points, but Chicago couldn’t overcome Brooklyn’s 56.8% shooting from long range. The Bulls are 1-4 straight up and against the spread (ATS) over their last 5 games.

Minnesota picked up a 111-98 win over the Denver Nuggets Friday while covering as a 3-point road underdog. The Timberwolves held the Nuggets to only 39.8% shooting from the field and 28.6% from deep in the win. Minnesota now sits tied with the Oklahoma City Thunder for the 1 seed in the West after winning each of its last 4 games and 7 of 8.

Bulls at Timberwolves picks and predictions

Prediction

Timberwolves 112, Bulls 102

Moneyline

PASS.

Minnesota (-375) should pick up the win, but the Timberwolves are not worth the risk of betting on as such heavy favorites. Bet on the spread and/or total instead.

Against the spread

LEAN TIMBERWOLVES -8.5 (-110).

The Wolves have covered the spread in 7 of their last 8 overall and are 3-1 ATS in their last 4 home games. Chicago has failed to cover ATS in 5 of its last 6 games and is only 3-7 ATS in its last 10. Minnesota has also been the slightly better team ATS this season at 39-34, while the Bulls are 36-37-1.

This is only a lean because the Bulls have covered the spread in 4 of their last 5 matchups vs. Minnesota.

Over/Under

BET OVER 214 (-108).

The Over has hit in 7 of Chicago’s last 10 overall and has been safer for the Bulls this year at 40-33-1. The Over is 3-0 in the last 3 meetings between these squads in Minnesota. The Over has also hit in 7 straight Chicago-Minnesota matchups and is 9-1 in the last 10 meetings overall.

Be aware that the Under has been slightly safer for Minnesota, both recently and on the season as a whole.

Chicago Bulls at Minnesota Timberwolves odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Sunday’s Chicago Bulls at Minnesota Timberwolves and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Minnesota Timberwolves (46-35) host the Chicago Bulls (45-36) Sunday at the Target Center for an 8:30 p.m. ET tip-off. Below, we look at the Bulls vs. Timberwolves odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Both teams are already locked into their playoff position with Chicago as the 6-seed in the Eastern Conference and Minnesota the 7-seed out West.

The Bulls are struggling as the postseason nears, losing 4 consecutive games, all by double digits. The T-Wolves will have two chances to clinch a playoff berth through the play-in tourney.

Minnesota’s first opportunity is the 7- versus 8-seed matchup against the Clippers this upcoming Tuesday or by beating the winner of the 9- versus 10-seed game between the Pelicans and Spurs if the T-Wolves lose to L.A.

The Bulls stormed past the T-Wolves late in their first meeting this season 134-122 in Minnesota by outscoring them 42-31 in the fourth quarter.

Bulls at Timberwolves odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Timberwolves 122, Bulls 114

Money line

PASS.

Minnesota should win its home regular-season finale comfortably but I’d never recommend betting a -290 ML favorite in the NBA. It doesn’t matter if the Bulls (+225) are troting out G-Leaguers, they are still pros and any professional team can get hot from 3 for a night.

Against the spread

Slight LEAN to the TIMBERWOLVES -6.5 (-120) since they’ll have by far the best player on the floor in SF Anthony Edwards and the Bulls +6.5 (-105) have been terrible lately even at full strength.

Furthermore, Chicago is just 1-6 ATS as 5-to-7-point underdogs and 5-11 ATS on the road versus teams with a winning record. Minnesota is 13-6 ATS at home versus winning teams and 6-1-1 ATS when playing on 2 days of rest.

That said, it’s tough to forecast how this game plays out since both teams could be without several starters.

Over/Under

LEAN to the OVER 229.5 (-115) because the Bulls have the fourth-worst non-garbage time defensive efficiency over the past two weeks and the T-Wolves have the third-worst, according to CleaningTheGlass.com.

However, with all the missing firepower, it’s hard to get behind either side of the total. None of Chicago’s O/U trends apply here since the Bulls are resting their 3 best scorers.

Chicago Bulls at Minnesota Timberwolves odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Sunday’s Chicago Bulls at Minnesota Timberwolves NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Minnesota Timberwolves (13-40) host the Chicago Bulls (22-29) Sunday at Target Center for an 8 p.m. ET tip-off. Below, we analyze the Bulls-Timberwolves odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Chicago had its three-game winning streak snapped Thursday in a 120-108 loss to the Atlanta Hawks. The Bulls are 3-4 straight up over their past seven games, but six of those games were on the road and Chicago is 5-2 against the spread in those contests.

Minnesota blew a 17-point lead in Thursday’s 145-136 loss at the Boston Celtics to push on the spread as a 9-point underdog. The T-Wolves are 2-5 straight up but 4-2-1 ATS in their last seven games.

The Bulls won their first meeting of the season with the Timberwolves 133-126 in overtime and covered as 4.5-point favorites.

Bulls at Timberwolves: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 125, Timberwolves 117

Money line (ML)

PASS, however, I’m all about parlaying Bulls (-190) with the Memphis Grizzlies’ money line for a plus-money payout.

That’s me being greedy. Me being smart passes on Chicago’s money line because it’s too much chalk for a regular-season favorite to win outright.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

Usually, I’d be fading an unproven BULLS -4.5 (-110) team laying points on the road to a Timberwolves squad that’s been a feisty underdog at home, but there are some interesting narratives between the two teams that lead me in the direction of Chicago.

First, this is Bulls All-Star SG Zach LaVine’s “revenge game” against the T-Wolves. Minnesota drafted and rostered LaVine for his first three seasons.

LaVine went off for 39 points in the first half of Chicago’s loss to the Hawks Thursday and is having a career year in the midst of Chicago’s playoff hunt. He gets the chance to rub his former employer’s nose in it tonight.

Second, there’s an awesome big vs. big matchup with T-Wolves C Karl-Anthony Towns facing off with newly acquired Bulls C Nikola Vucevic.

Both centers are elite offensively and whoever wins this matchup greatly improves his team’s chances of winning. Vucevic is having a career year and has been playing great ball lately. Big vs. big edge: Chicago, slightly.

TAKE BULLS -4.5 (-110) for 1 unit.

Over/Under (O/U)

Slight “LEAN” to the OVER 231.5 (-110) for a quarter-unit. These teams both play uptempo and chuck a bunch of threes.

I see a fun back-and-forth matchup that’ll be a lot more entertaining than the billing would suggest; however, this is only a hunch hence the lower-unit wager.
