The Chicago Bulls (1-1) face a division opponent in the Detroit Pistons (1-1) Saturday. Tipoff from Little Caesars Arena is set for 7 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Bulls vs. Pistons odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: First meeting; Bulls won 4-0 last season.

Chicago picked up a 104-103 OT win vs. the Toronto Raptors Friday thanks to a game-winning 3 from G Alex Caruso. The Bulls failed to cover as a 2-point favorite. G/F DeMar DeRozan showed out for the Bulls in the win, scoring 33 points on 11-for-22 shooting from the field and 10-for-14 from the free throw line.

Detroit came away with a 111-99 win vs. the Charlotte Hornets Friday, covering as a 4.5-point underdog. The Pistons held Charlotte to 37.5% shooting from the field and 25% shooting from beyond the arc while also out rebounding the Hornets 52-41. Detroit saw 6 players finish with 12 or more points in the win.

Bulls at Pistons picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 103, Pistons 99

Moneyline

LEAN BULLS (-120).

Detroit does pose a solid threat to the Bulls in this matchup, but it would be tough for me to advise betting on the Pistons here unless LaVine is ruled out. Chicago has beaten Detroit in all of the last 10 meetings and has covered the spread in 8 of those meetings.

Against the spread

LEAN BULLS -1.5 (-110).

The Pistons are a risky bet here unless you are fully confident that they will either win, or that this will finish as a 1-point game. If this game comes down to a buzzer-beater type scenario, that actually would likely favor the Bulls as they have more proven clutch time performers than Detroit. Chicago is the safest play here, but the moneyline and O/U are safer lines to bet.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 215.5 (-110).

The total has dropped 3 points with LaVine’s health in question Saturday morning. Both of Detroit’s 2 games so start the season have hit the Under, and Chicago’s last matchup vs. Toronto also hit the Under. Both of these teams struggle to find a consistent way to score the ball, and both struggle shooting the 3 ball. Also, 8 of the last 10 meetings between these squads have hit the Under.

Chicago Bulls vs. Detroit Pistons odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Chicago Bulls vs. Detroit Pistons odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Chicago Bulls (20-24) battle the Detroit Pistons (12-35) Thursday at Accor Arena in Paris, France. Tip is set for 3:30 p.m. ET (NBA TV). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Bulls vs. Pistons odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Bulls beat the Golden State Warriors 132-118 Sunday, closing as a 6-point home underdog. Chicago is 8-14 straight up (SU) on the road this season and is 22-20-2 against the spread (ATS). It has covered 4 of its last 6 games. Chicago’s strength is on offense, ranking 5th in field goal percentage (48.8%).

The Pistons lost to the New York Knicks 117-104 Sunday as an 8.5-point underdog. Detroit is 6-19 straight up on the road and is 20-24-3 ATS this season. It is just 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games. The Pistons’ weakness is defense, ranking 29th in opponents’ FG percentage (49.3%).

Bulls vs. Pistons picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 121, Pistons 112

Moneyline

PASS.

The Bulls at (-260) are unplayable yet are the clearly better team, also making the Pistons at (+220) not a great value. Ultimately, pass the moneyline value.

Against the spread

BET BULLS -6.5 (-112).

The Bulls are playing far better than the Pistons, and on a neutral court, backing Chicago makes more sense. The Bulls, who have covered 5 of its last 7 games, can abuse the Pistons’ weakness highlighted earlier.

Detroit is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 and failed to cover at home against New York and New Orleans, closing as an 8.5-point and 5.5-point underdog. Detroit is 11-12-2 ATS on the road while Chicago is 11-10-1 ATS on the road.

Take the BULLS -6.5 (-110) given the strength-on-weakness factor and recent trends.

Over/Under

LEAN UNDER 235.5 (-105).

The Bulls have gone Under in 2 of their last 4, and the Pistons have gone Under in their last 2. Detroit has failed to score more than 111 points in 3 of its last 5 games. Its offense isn’t there, ranking 25th in the NBA in field goal percentage (45.4%).

Despite the Bulls’ offensive efficiency, they rank 14th in pace. Detroit sits 12th in pace. Neither team plays at an ultra-fast tempo.

With that in mind, back the UNDER 235.5 (-105).

Chicago Bulls at Detroit Pistons odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Chicago Bulls at Detroit Pistons odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Chicago Bulls (39-26) head to the Motor City Wednesday to play the Detroit Pistons (18-47). Tip-off from Little Caesars Arena is set for 7 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Bulls vs. Pistons odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Chicago is on a five-game losing skid (0-5 against the spread (ATS)) with their latest loss coming on the road 121-106 against the Philadelphia 76ers Monday.

Detroit has won four of its past five games (5-0 ATS) including three straight, most recently upsetting the Atlanta Hawks 113-110 in overtime at home Monday.

The Bulls have won and covered 10 straight meetings with the Pistons, which includes three victories in this season’s head-to-head series.

Bulls at Pistons odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 115, Pistons 105

Money line

PASS because I like Chicago to cover the spread but the Bulls (-230) is way out of my price range considering how much they’ve struggled recently and how good the Pistons have been playing.

For what it’s worth, Chicago is 33-7 straight up (SU) as a favorite (12-3 SU as a road favorite) while Detroit is 9-19 SU as a home underdog.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

BET the BULLS -5.5 (-112) because I think this is a buy-low spot for Chicago and a sell-high spot for the Pistons.

The Bulls are on a five-game losing skid but four of those losses were against the Sixers (away game), Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat (away game) and the Memphis Grizzlies. Granted, Chicago lost all those games ATS as well but those aren’t embarrassing losses.

On the other hand, the Pistons have been one of the hotter teams in the NBA. However, Detroit’s last three victories were by 5 points or fewer, the last two were against teams with a losing record and the other came against a Toronto Raptors squad missing All-Star PG Fred VanVleet.

The casual NBA bettor might realize the Pistons are trending up so I could see Detroit being a public underdog. A good spot to be in as a sports bettor is fading the public with a favorite.

The bottom line is the Bulls need to right the ship and I don’t think Chicago is looking past a red-hot Detroit team with the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft — Pistons PG Cade Cunningham — playing sensationally.

BET the BULLS -5.5 (-112).

Over/Under

LEAN to the UNDER 227.5 (-108) for a bunch of trendy reasons.

Chicago is 0-6 O/U in the last six games versus teams with a losing record, Detroit is 0-5 O/U in the last five games versus teams with a winning record, the Under has cashed in seven straight Bulls-Pistons meetings and these teams have a combined 4-16-3 O/U in division games.

Chicago Bulls at Detroit Pistons odds, pick and predictions

Analyzing Wednesday’s Chicago Bulls at Detroit Pistons odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

To help kick off the season for most of the NBA, the Chicago Bulls (0-0) travel to take on the Detroit Pistons (0-0). The game is set to tip at 7 p.m. ET and will be held at Little Caesars Arena. Below, we look at the Bulls at Pistons odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Bulls made a strong move to add C Nikola Vucevic before the 2021 trade deadline. That didn’t help much. Now, they’ve retained the big man and added G DeMar DeRozan and G Lonzo Ball to go along with superstar G Zach LaVine.

This team is now laced with players that are both underrated and ultra-talented. They could realistically be a top-five team in the East.

They’ll open up against a team many thins will be a bottom team in the East. The Pistons added F Jerami Grant, their star, last offseason, and this offseason, they drafted G Cade Cunningham with the first overall pick. Cunningham will not play in the team’s home opener.

Excitement is brewing in the Motor City, but it’s still to be determined how much time is needed till this team can compete for a spot in the playoffs.

Bulls at Pistons odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Bulls 114, Pistons 107

Money line

PASS on the money line.

While I think the Bulls will win, they aren’t that far superior. Along with being on the road, betting the -210 for a team that’s not the Bucks or Jazz, especially not at home, feels like a mistake.

There are far better value bets in this game. The Pistons aren’t a top-tier franchise, but they’re also not one to sleep on.

Against the spread

“LEAN” to the BULLS -5.5 (-105) as the better bet. I don’t love it as the value is a tad bit high, but the Bulls have a roster that has been composed to compete with some of the best in the East.

LaVine has the best season of his career last year. Add in a pass-first Ball and a team-first DeRozan, and the Bulls have a team that should be able to dominant a lower-level opponent.

The Pistons have talent, especially down past Grant and Cunningham.

But, the jury is still out if G Killian Hayes can take that next step. Against a potent Bulls roster, I expect Chicago to come out on top, but it shouldn’t be by more than double figures.

Over/Under

BET on the OVER 219.5 (-107) as the best bet in this game. Having stayed away from Overs to kick off the season, this one gives good value. The Bulls are loaded with score-first players.

Especially with Ball’s increased ability to shoot, the Bulls can get out and get going. The Pistons will be able to hang with them behind Grant and Hayes.

Saddiq Bey and G Hamidou Diallo could both get hot and help add to the scoring. With a deep Bulls roster and an underrated Pistons, seeing Over 219 hit wouldn’t be shocking.

The Chicago Bulls (28-39) travel to meet the Detroit Pistons (20-48) Sunday at Little Caesars Arena. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Bulls vs. Pistons odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Bulls are coming off a 121-99 win over the Boston Celtics as a four-point underdog. It’s their second straight win, as they topped the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday by a 120-99 count.

The Pistons are coming off a 118-104 loss in Philadelphia on Saturday, and now they have the quick turnaround. Detroit has won just once in the past six outings while going 2-4 against the spread across the stretch.

Bulls at Pistons: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 111, Pistons 105

Money line (ML)

The Bulls (-375) will cost you nearly four times your potential return, and that’s too expensive on the road, even against a poor Pistons (+290) side.

AVOID.

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The PISTONS +8.5 (-110) were dusted by the 76ers on Saturday, and they have a quick turnaround.

However, they’re 10-1 ATS across the past 11 games as an underdog of 8.5 or more points. Roll with Detroit, as they should be able to keep it within single digits.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 219.5 (-110) is the play here. The Under has connected in six in a row for the Bulls while going 9-4 in their past 13 as a favorite.

The Under is 5-2-1 in the past eight home games for the Pistons, while cashing in six of the past eight as a ‘dog. The Under is also 5-2 in the past seven when working on no rest.

Chicago Bulls at Detroit Pistons odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Sunday’s Chicago Bulls at Detroit Pistons NBA odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Detroit Pistons (12-29) welcome the division rival Chicago Bulls (18-22) to Little Caesars Arena Sunday for a 7 p.m. ET game. Below, we analyze the Bulls-Pistons odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Chicago has lost back-to-back games including a 131-127 overtime nail-biter to the Denver Nuggets as a 7-point road underdog Friday. Since the All-Star break, the Bulls are 2-4 straight up and 3-3 ATS; the four losses were against teams above .500 and the wins were against losing squads.

The Pistons enter on a two-game winning streak after handing the Houston Rockets their 19th consecutive loss Friday and taking down the Toronto Raptors 116-112 as 6.5-point home underdogs Wednesday.

Detroit is 2-3 straight up but 4-1 against the spread since the All-Star Game. The stretch includes covers against the powerhouse Brooklyn Nets and the surging Charlotte Hornets in consecutive games.

Chicago’s 105-102 win and cover against Detroit earlier this season was its fifth straight in the head-to-head series.

Bulls at Pistons: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 114, Pistons 109

Money line (ML)

PASS with a lean on Bulls (-150) because it’s on the fringe for how much I’d risk on an NBA regular-season favorite. Chicago’s money line could be a good parlay leg with another favorite such as the Denver Nuggets (-250).

Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!

Against the spread (ATS)

The BULLS -3 (-110) play well and cash tickets against bad teams: Chicago is 10-5 straight up and is plus-7 in net points per 100 possessions and plus-6.8 ATS margin vs. bottom-10 teams in net efficiency, according to CleaningTheGlass.com.

Chicago has been a good bet on the road lately—covering the spread in five of its past six road games—and to close out the week as the Bulls are 8-0 ATS in their last eight Sunday games.

TAKE BULLS -3 (-110) for a half-unit.

Over/Under (O/U)

Even though the previous Bulls-Pistons meeting earlier this season went Under the projected total of 220 by 13 points even though it was an awesome offensive night for both teams’ leading scorers.

First-year Piston SF Jerami Grant had a career-best 43 points on 60% shooting, but Bulls All-Star SG Zach LaVine nearly matched him with 37 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals.

While they might not have the exact same production, I’d expect those guys to have success again in this meeting and for their teammates to play better.

Finally, according to Pregame.com, nearly 90% of the money is on the Under and I’d like to fade that one-sided of a market.

BET OVER 217.5 (-110) for 1 unit.
