Bulls at Magic: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Magic 118, Bulls 114

Money line (ML)

The MAGIC (-105) are the play as short ‘dogs after topping the Bulls (-115) in the front end of the double dip Friday. Orlando entered Friday’s game on a four-game skid, but they suddenly look attractive after tripping up Chicago in the opener.

Against the spread (ATS)

The MAGIC +1.5 (-115) won as an underdog on Friday, and the Bulls -1.5 (-105) slipped to 2-6 ATS in the past eight as a favorite, including 1-5 ATS in the past six as a favorite on the road. Neither of these teams have been very consistent lately, so you have to go with what you saw lately, and that’s an Orlando win.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 223.5 (-110) is the play for Saturday’s second end of the twin bill. We had a total of 242 points in Friday’s game, and we should see a slight decrease in scoring with both teams experiencing some tired legs after playing less than 24 hours prior. However, this won’t be confused with a defensive slog. The scoring will pick up in the second half, and we’ll still see the Over cash with about two minutes remaining in regulation.

Bulls at Magic: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bulls 111, Magic 103

Money line (ML)

The BULLS (-130) aren’t a bad play on the money line, although my preference would be to play the spread for less risk. The Bulls have won just once in the past five outings, but they have won two straight on the road. And the Magic (+105) are just too banged up to rely upon.

Against the spread (ATS)

The BULLS -2.5 (-110) are coming off a disappointing 107-103 loss on their home hardwood against the Knicks. Still, they’re a good play in O-Town, as the Magic +2.5 (-110) are a dismal 0-4 SU/ATS across the past four overall, with three of those games at home. Chicago is 6-1 ATS across the past seven on the road, while going 10-2 ATS in their past 12 playing on a day of rest.

Orlando is 1-5 ATS in the past six at home, and 5-19-2 ATS in the previous 26 as a home ‘dog.

Over/Under (O/U)

UNDER 222.5 (-110) is the best play on the board here. The Under has cashed in four of the past five for Chicago, while hitting in 21 of the past 28 for the Bulls against losing sides. The Under has also hit in seven of the past 10 at home for Orlando. In addition, the Under is 19-7 in the past 26 meetings in Orlando between these two sides, while hitting in 20 of the past 26 overall.
