The Buffalo Bulls head to Camp Randall Stadium to take on the No. 21 Wisconsin Badgers Saturday. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. (FS1). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Buffalo vs. Wisconsin odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Wisconsin cut its final tie to the Barry Alvarez era at the school after firing Justin Leonard midway through the 2022 season. New coach Luke Fickell and offensive coordinator Phil Longo will bring an entirely new philosophy where the passing game is a part of the game plan.

While many are calling this the Dairy Raid offense, there will be quite a few run plays mixed in. This is still Wisconsin, and the offensive line is still massive.

Buffalo has not been the same since coach Lance Liepold left for Kansas following the 2020 season. He took a lot of talent with him and improved Kansas immediately while Buffalo has floundered in the MAC.

With both teams going in differing directions, this will not be an ultra-competitive game. Instead, Wisconsin fans and football fans alike will watch to see what coach Fickell can do in Madison as he rings in a new era of football.

Wisconsin is No. 21 in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll.

Buffalo at Wisconsin picks and predictions

Prediction

Wisconsin 45, Buffalo 13

Moneyline

PASS.

With this game being so lopsided, neither Buffalo (+1600) nor Wisconsin (-4500) is worth the action it would take to justify a play. The Bulls are highly unlikely to even keep this one close.

Against the spread

BET WISCONSIN -27.5 (-118).

Wisconsin will look to get out to a fast start under coach Fickell and offensive coordinator Longo. RB Braelon Allen will be able to gain big yards in the run game behind the monster offensive line and new QB Tanner Mordecai will bring a pass game to the Badgers after transferring from SMU. Both parts of the offense will be successful against an overmatched Bulls team.

Wisconsin has some more challenging games ahead in the coming weeks. While this is a substantial number, the Badgers will look to come out strong on Saturday after being embarrassed for much of 2022.

Over/Under

BET OVER 53.5 (-108).

While the Wisconsin defense will hold down Buffalo, the same can not be said for the Bulls holding down the Badgers.

With Allen and Mordecai leading the charge, Wisconsin will score more than 40 points, meaning the Over should cash if Buffalo gets to 13. Garbage time is real and despite the stout defense Wisconsin will bring there could be a lot of it. This means a few opportunities for the Bulls to gather up some points. It will be close, but this game should cash the Over 53.5 in the closing minutes of a blowout win by Wisconsin.
