The top defensive players in Tampa Bay’s win over Atlanta, per PFF

Linebacker K.J. Britt, who stepped in for the injured Devin White, topped PFF’s Bucs defensive grades for Week 14:

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers may have won, but their defensive performance was a mixed bag overall.

The team did well to limit the run game from the Atlanta Falcons in Week 14 in their 29-25 victory and also found two turnovers to lead to points, but they allowed quarterback Desmond Ridder to throw for 347 yards and displayed more evidence of blown coverages throughout the day in the passing game. The team was also injured, but some players — like the highest-graded player in this ranking — stepped up and contributed.

Tampa Bay’s rushing attack gets some props in PFF’s offensive grades for Tampa Bay.

It was a tale of two offenses for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their win against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 14.

The Bucs put up 27 offensive points in the 29-25 win, the second-most it as scored all year as an offensive unit. But it was marred by a series of three-and-outs and a rough passing game that limited opportunities — on the flip side, the team put together a game-winning drive when it needed to and the run game continued to improve and helped facilitate the offense a little bit. It was far from Tampa Bay’s best offensive performance, but it got the job done.

Pro Football Focus took to grading every Bucs player who took snaps in Week 14, and this is how the top 10 of their offensive rankings turned out:

The worst defensive players in Tampa Bay’s win over Carolina, per PFF

These five players didn’t grade out well on PFF’s weekly grades for the defense.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense did its job, and it was a more admirable performance than the team has had in recent weeks. But as always, not everyone was perfect.

The team held Carolina to just two touchdowns and a field goal in Week 13, winning the game 21-18 at home and inching closer to the NFC South lead.
Pro Football Focus graded every Bucs defensive player who took snaps on Sunday, and while there were a few players they graded highly, there were others they didn’t favor quite as much.

Here were PFF’s top defensive players in Tampa Bay’s 21-18 win over the Panthers:

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense did its job on Sunday and the team came away with a win.

The Bucs won their game against the Carolina Panthers 21-18 in Week 13, moving up to 5-7 overall and staying one game back on the NFC South. While the rain helped the defense a bit, the Bucs were still absolutely crippled at linebacker with razor-thin depth — and the team definitely stepped up, limiting the Panthers’ offensive attack to under 20 points and securing a victory for the home crowd.

No surprises here as to which Bucs player PFF loved the most from Week 13’s action.

It wasn’t the weather for a dominant offensive game in Tampa, Florida, on Sunday. Even still, one man made sure the fans got what they wanted.

It shouldn’t be a spoiler. Pro Football Focus graded every Bucs offensive player that took snaps when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers played the Carolina Panthers, and wide receiver Mike Evans received their highest grade of all of them for his staggering 162 yard, one-touchdown performance against Carolina. He was certainly the star of the show, accounting for well over 50% of the team’s offense in its 21-18 win.

PFF didn’t love these five players in their grades for Tampa Bay’s Week 12 game:

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue to struggle to get the offense firing on all cylinders.

The team had a strong run game behind running back Rachaad White and had two touchdowns courtesy of wideout Mike Evans, but the Bucs were unable to surpass 20 points in a 27-20 loss to the Colts. While the unit sometimes looks improved, the team still needs to put together a solid game in four phases and has rarely done so this year. Pro Football Focus graded the team’s offense in Week 12, and there were a few players they pinpointed as having a negative impact.

PFF had these five defensive players as the worst in an overall-dreadful defensive performance.

It seems like every week is a defensive performance to forget for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Bucs gave up 27 points for the second week in a row in their loss to the Indianapolis Colts, and it featured a run defense that is normally stout getting gashed by Colts running back Jonathan Taylor. The pass defense didn’t fare much better, giving up over 250 yards passing from quarterback Garnder Minshew and letting wideout Michael Pittman Jr. catch for 107 yards on the day.

Pro Football Focus had these defensive players standing out in an otherwise rough defensive performance.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a vaunted “grave-diggers” defense for a short while from 2020-21, but those days appear to have already passed the team by.

The Bucs have one of the worst defenses in football since coming back from their bye week, often getting shredded in the passing game week by week. The team is usually staunch through the run game, but that wasn’t the case in its Sunday loss to the Indianapolis Colts, as the Colts put up three rushing touchdowns and dominated behind running back Jonathan Taylor. Despite that, there were some defensive splash plays, and Pro Football Focus reflected that a little bit when grading the team for the game.

PFF had these players as the highest-rated from Sunday’s Bucs action:

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ offense continues to struggle.

The Bucs haven’t eclipsed 21 points in a game since their matchup against the Texans on Nov. 5 and have only eclipsed that mark once in seven games, doing it the last time aside from Houston in Week 4 when the team beat the Saints 26-9. Tampa Bay just isn’t quite clicking on that side of the ball, but there were still some moments of hope like there are every Sunday — running back Rachaad White continues to be a weapon in the offense and wideout Mike Evans did Mike Evans things in the 27-20 losing effort.

Pro Football Focus took to grading every Bucs player that took snaps on Sunday, and these 10 players were graded the highest:

The worst defensive players in Tampa Bay’s loss to San Francisco, per PFF

These five players were PFF’s lowest graded in a game that saw 49ers QB Brock Purdy put up a perfect passer rating against the Bucs.

It was a defensive performance to forget against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 11.

The Bucs allowed 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy to put up a perfect passer rating on Wednesday, throwing for 333 yards and three touchdowns and completing 84% of his passes. The secondary was entirely shredded, and that effort led to the 49ers putting up 27 points in their victory. Tampa Bay was able to stifle the run decently well, but it didn’t matter when San Francisco was so successful through the air.

Pro Football Focus evaluated all Bucs defensive players who took snaps in Week 11, and while there were some good performers, a few played poorly in the matchup. Here are the five lowest-graded players from Week 11 on defense, per PFF:
