The game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers has been flexed to 4:05, so it will be widely available for fans across the country.
The game is set to be broadcast on CBS, but it still has a relatively small broadcast area for a flexed game to start out. At its beginning, it will be available in the bottom half of Florida, both Carolinas, Atlanta, New Orleans, Washington D.C, New York City and Detroit. Despite a smaller area to start, though, its status as a 4:05 game means that once other CBS games end, it will be the only game available on the network, allowing anyone with the channel to watch it at the conclusion of the 1 p.m. game in their area.
Here is the broadcast map for Sunday’s game:
Sportscaster Tom McCarthy, former NFL wideout James Lofton and former placekicker Jay Feely will be on the call for the matchup.
The Bucs are one game back from the NFC South with a 4-7 record and will be playing a division rival in the Carolina Panthers, who are 1-10. The Panthers will have an interim head coach after the firing of Frank Reich, which means the Bucs will not have played against the hired coach of the Carolina Panthers in two straight years.
