The Milwaukee Bucks (11-11) and Brooklyn Nets (10-13) battle Sunday. Tip-off from Barclays Center is set for 3:30 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Bucks vs. Nets odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: First meeting; Milwaukee won 3-0 last season

Milwaukee lost 111-105 at the Boston Celtics Friday, but covered as an 8-point underdog. The star-studded duo of G Damian Lillard and F Giannis Antetokounmpo did its job against Boston, scoring 31 and 30 points, but they got little help from the rest of the team as no other Bucks player reached 15 points. The Bucks were also outscored 33-23 in the final quarter to allow Boston to complete the comeback.

Brooklyn picked up a 99-90 win over the Indiana Pacers Wednesday while covering as a 3.5-point underdog. F Cameron Johnson led the way with 26 points. The win ended a 3-game losing streak for the Nets.

Bucks at Nets picks and predictions

Prediction

Bucks 112, Nets 106

Moneyline

PASS.

The Bucks will beat the Nets and cover as -275 favorites, but they are never worth the risk of betting on when favored this heavily. Bet on the spread and/or total instead.

Against the spread

BET NETS +6.5 (-105).

Brooklyn has covered the spread in both of its last 2 matchups against Milwaukee and is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. The Nets are also the better ATS team, going 14-8-1 ATS while the Bucks are 9-12-1 ATS this season.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 218.5 (-105).

The Under has hit in each of Brooklyn’s last 3 games and is 12-11 for the Nets this year. For Milwaukee, the Under is 2-0 in its last 2 games and 13-9 this season. The Under has also hit in 6 of the last 9 meetings between these squads.

Season series: First meeting; Bucks went 3-0 last season

The Nets lost 120-116 at the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday as a 7.5-point underdog and then lost 116-101 at the Orlando Magic on Friday as an 11.5-point underdog. The Nets are led by G Cam Thomas, who is shooting 55.6% from the field and is averaging 30 points per game (PPG). They are 1-1 against the spread (ATS) as the play their first hom game of the season.

The Bucks have played 2 games as well, splitting those despite closing as a favorite in each. Bucks at Nets picks and predictions

Prediction

Bucks 121, Nets 113

Moneyline

PASS.

There’s no reason to look at the moneyline. With Antetokounmpo likely active, taking the Bucks is far too expensive while backing the Nets to pull off the upset also isn’t a smart play. Avoid this option.

Against the spread

BET NETS +9.5 (-110).

The Bucks were the fourth-worst road-covering team in the NBA last season, going just 17-26 ATS. While they did win and cover on the road in their lone away game, that was against the 76ers, who were without C Joel Embiid, and they closed as a just a 4-point favorite, not almost a double-digit one. Milwaukee will be without its third-best scoring option in Middleton as well.

The Nets may have struggled against both the Hawks and Magic, but those were on the road. They were able to cover in 1 as well and should have a rocking home crowd to kick off the season. Expect Brooklyn to use that energy to keep things at least close so back NETS +9.5 (-110).

Over/Under

BET OVER 230.5 (-105).

Both teams have gone Over in both games they’ve played. The Nets soared over the 224 closing total in their first game (236 points scored). They are allowing 118 points per game and will be facing one of the NBA’s best offenses in Milwaukee.

The Bucks are averaging 123 points per game while allowing 121 per game. Milwaukee is 2-0 O/U and cleared both totals by at least 10 points. That said, back OVER 230.5 (-105) as both teams have capable scoring options and slacking defenses.

Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Tuesday’s Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Milwaukee Bucks (43-17) face the Brooklyn Nets (34-26) Tuesday at Barclays Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Bucks vs. Nets odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Bucks defeated the Phoenix Suns 104-101 on Sunday as 3.5-point home favorites. Milwaukee is currently on a 14-game win streak and is now the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Nets covered as 6.5-point road underdogs in their 129-127 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday. Brooklyn has lost 2 games in a row and is 3-7 in its last 10 contests.

This will be the third meeting between the Bucks and the Nets this season. Milwaukee and Brooklyn split the first two games and the Under connected in both.

Bucks at Nets picks and predictions

Prediction

Bucks 118, Nets 108

Moneyline

AVOID.

Even with the Bucks (-200) expected to secure the victory on the road, I wouldn’t advise taking them to win at the current odds.

Against the spread

BUCKS -5.5 (-102) is an enticing wager with Antetokounmpo expected to return Tuesday. Milwaukee is expected to have its typical rotation for the first time in a while and Brooklyn has struggled recently.

The Bucks are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games and are 36-17-1 ATS in the last 54 meetings with the Nets.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 232.5 (-115).

These teams have surprisingly gone Under often when squaring off against each other and we’re going to run with that despite Antetokounmpo’s expected return. The Nets are playing at the 8th slowest pace in the NBA in their last 10 games.

The Bucks are 11-2-1 to the Under in their last 14 games against a team with a winning record and the Under is 12-3-1 in the last 16 meetings between these teams.

Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Friday’s Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Milwaukee Bucks (22-9) will take on the Brooklyn Nets (20-12) on Friday at Barclays Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Bucks vs. Nets odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

The Bucks suffered a 114-106 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday as they failed to cover as 2-point underdogs on the road. Milwaukee has still won 3 of its last 5 games entering the anticipated matchup against Brooklyn.

The Nets cruised to a 143-113 win over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday to cover as 10.5-point favorites at home. Brooklyn is on a 7-game winning streak and the team has won 9 of its last 10 games.

Bucks at Nets picks and predictions

Prediction

Bucks 119, Nets 115

Moneyline

Even though Middleton isn’t expected to suit up on Friday night, BUCKS (+125) is a solid wager in this game. The Nets have certainly looked great in recent weeks, but it’s tough betting against Antetokounmpo following a loss.

Against the spread

Being that I took them to win, BUCKS +2.5 (-110) is where I’m going in this game. It should be a close contest on Friday night.

The Bucks are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a loss. Also, the Bucks are 19-6-1 ATS in the last 26 road meetings against the Nets and 36-16-1 ATS in the last 53 meetings overall.

Over/Under

OVER 228.5 (-115) is an intriguing bet in this game as both teams are capable of scoring points in bunches. There have been 229-plus points scored in 4 of the last 5 matchups between the Bucks and the Nets.

The Bucks have hit the Over in 4 of their last 5 games overall. Meanwhile, the Nets have hit the Over in 6 of their last 7 games overall.

Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets odds, picks and predictions

Analyzing Thursday’s Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets odds and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Milwaukee Bucks (47-28) and Brooklyn Nets (40-36) will square off  Thursday night in a pivotal Eastern Conference matchup. Tip-off from Barclays Center will be at 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Bucks vs. Nets odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

The Bucks are second in the East, one game back of the Miami Heat for the No. 1 seed. They’ve won 7 of their last 10 games to pull closer to the Heat and they have a chance to overtake Miami in the final two weeks. In their last game, the Bucks beat the Philadelphia 76ers 118-116 Tuesday, thanks to a game-saving block by F Giannis Antetokounmpo in the waning seconds.

The Nets will have PG Kyrie Irving on the floor for the third time at home this season after local vaccination restrictions were lifted. They split Irving’s first two home games, losing to the Charlotte Hornets and beating the Chicago Bulls. The Nets are 7-3 in their last 10 games and are eighth in the East. They can avoid the play-in tournament if they can catch the Raptors for the sixth seed, but trail Toronto by 4 games.

Bucks at Nets odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Bucks 125, Nets 120

Money line

The Bucks are 2-1 in the last three meetings between these teams and have  won 4 of their last 5 against the Nets, including the last two played in Brooklyn.

Assuming Antetokounmpo plays, as he’s expected to, I really like the BUCKS (+102)  in this matchup. The Nets are only 17-20 at home this season and even though they have Irving back, they failed to beat the Hornets at home with him two games ago.

PLAY: Free, daily sports pick’em contests. Play now!

Against the spread

It’s not a bad idea to take the 1.5 points with the Bucks, but you might as well take the money line and bet them to win outright. While this could be a close game, I’d rather take the added benefit of getting the Bucks at plus money to win outright. PASS.

Over/Under

The Nets defense ranks 19th in the league in points allowed and the Bucks are barely better, ranking 16th in scoring defense. With superstars on both teams and with this expected to be a close game, I think these teams will trade buckets for 48 minutes and push the total OVER 242.5 (-115).

Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Friday’s Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets and lines, with NBA expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Milwaukee Bucks (25-15) meet the Brooklyn Nets (24-12) Friday in a rematch of last season’s second-round Eastern Conference playoff series. The tip-off at Barclays Center is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Bucks vs. Nets odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.

Milwaukee defeated Brooklyn 4-3 in an exhilarating best-of-seven second-round playoff series last season en route to an NBA championship. Last regular season, the Bucks were 2-1 straight-up (SU) and ATS versus the Nets.

The Bucks have lost back-to-back games to the Detroit Pistons 115-106 Monday and the Toronto Raptors 117-111 Wednesday.

Over the past two weeks, Milwaukee is 5-2 SU, 4-3 ATS and 5-2 O/U with the seventh-best non-garbage time net rating at plus-6.0 points per 100 possessions, according to CleaningTheGlass.com (CTG).

Brooklyn snapped its three-game losing skid Friday when won at the Indiana Pacers 129-121 but failed to cover as 8.5-point road favorites. It was Nets PG Kyrie Irving‘s season debut, and Irving scored 22 points on 9-of-17 shooting with 4 assists and 3 steals.

In the last 14 days, Brooklyn is 3-3 SU, 2-4 ATS and 4-2 O/U with the 15th-ranked non-garbage time net rating at plus-0.7 points per 100 possessions, per CTG.

Bucks at Nets odds, lines, picks and predictions

Prediction

Nets 116, Bucks 107

Money line

PASS since I like Brooklyn to win this game going away, but still, the Nets (-200) is out of my price range.

The Bucks (+160) are the reigning champions, and Milwaukee’s All-Star wings Giannis and Khris Middleton are certainly good enough to push Milwaukee past Brooklyn.

Against the spread

BET the NETS -4.5 (-120) for 1 unit because they are a lot healthier, and this should be a revenge spot for Brooklyn.

Also, the Bucks are an NBA’s worst 4-10 ATS as a road underdog with a minus-4.6 ATS margin since the start of last season.

On top of that, Milwaukee will be without its top-two players by adjusted on/off net rating in Holiday and Hill Friday.

Holiday grades in the 97th percentile of points guards in adjusted on/off net rating at plus-15.7 points per 100 possessions and Hill grades in the 99th percentile of combo guards at plus-20.5 points per 100 possessions, per CTG.

Furthermore, Holiday, along with DiVincenzo and Connaughton who are also on the injury report, would be tasked with checking Brooklyn’s James Harden. Not having these guys, Holiday especially, could be a nightmare for Milwaukee and Harden could ball out.

Finally, I think the Nets want to make a statement Friday against the team that eliminated them from the playoffs last season.

Nets’ Kevin Durant is almost being slept on as an MVP candidate. I’m expecting a great performance out of KD in this primetime game versus two-time MVP Giannis and the defending champions.

BET 1 unit on the NETS -4.5 (-120).

Over/Under

“LEAN” to the UNDER 229.5 (-110) for a quarter-unit, if at all, because Milwaukee is 1-8-1 O/U in its last 10 games versus teams with a winning record and the Bucks-Nets total is 1-8-1 O/U in their last 10 meetings.

However, I can only “LEAN” to the UNDER 229.5 (-110) since Milwaukee has gone Over the total in five of its past six games, and I anticipate Harden wreaking havoc on this banged-up Bucks backcourt.

Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets Game 7 odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Saturday’s Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets Game 7 odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The 2-seed Brooklyn Nets (3-3) host the 3-seed Milwaukee Bucks (3-3) Saturday for Game 7 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals series at 8:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Bucks-Nets odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

Milwaukee handled Brooklyn 104-89 in Game 6 by outrebounding the Nets 51-39, having nearly three times the FT/FGA rate and winning three of the four quarters, with the third quarter being a draw.

Bucks former All-Star Khris Middleton had the performance of his career, scoring a game-high 38 points on 68.8% shooting (11-for-16) with 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals and a plus-68 net rating.

Kevin Durant regressed just enough from his all-time performance in Game 5 by scoring 32 points on 50.0% shooting but had seven turnovers and an 87 offensive rating.

Bucks at Nets: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bucks 113, Nets 109

Money line (ML)

KD’s performance in Game 5 could certainly be duplicated in Game 7, and if that’s the case it’s curtains for Milwaukee’s season, but if Durant is only fractionally off then the BUCKS (+105) are going to steal this series.

And while James Harden isn’t officially listed on the injury report, everyone knows his health is compromised by a hamstring injury that kept him out the first four games of this series.

Harden played almost 40 minutes in Game 6 but only attempted nine shots, including six 3-pointers, and made it to the free-throw line just five times.

If Harden isn’t attacking the basket then there’s a lot of pressure on KD to create offense both for himself and his teammates. Durant has a 36.1% usage rate in this series, so the Bucks have a good idea of how Brooklyn will play.

With no Kyrie and a hobbled Harden, Brooklyn’s only path to victory is KD playing at an all-time level to get past a Bucks team that’s paid their dues.

Everyone is calling for Milwaukee head coach Mike Budenholzer’s job even though the Bucks still haven’t been eliminated and there’s intense scrutiny (rightfully so) on Giannis AntetokounmpoJrue Holiday and Middleton.

However, I favor Milwaukee’s continuity, health and size in this spot against a limited Brooklyn team with a first-year head coach that hasn’t proven anything yet.

Furthermore, oddsmakers accounted for all this in their original price of Milwaukee laying 1.5 points on the opener but the market disagrees with the House’s assessment.

Brooklyn has been steamed through zero and it’s up to the Nets -2 (-105) because two-thirds of the money and three-fourths of the bets are on Brooklyn, according to Pregame.com.

I’ll back the oddsmakers’ original price for Game 7 and BET the BUCKS (+105) for 1.25 units to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Against the spread (ATS)

PASS unless the Bucks +2 (-115), unless this gets up to a 2.5-point underdog in which case take the points with Milwaukee.

Since a vast majority of the action is on Brooklyn, I’m going to wait to as close to tip-off as possible in hopes of getting the Bucks at +3.

Over/Under (O/U)

Slight “LEAN” to the OVER 215.5 (-115) for a one-third unit – if at all – because the Bucks-Nets total in Game 1 was 239.5 and a 24-point swing in pricing in a series is stunning.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Brooklyn tries to get its role players involved early, namely Joe Harris who’s been ice-cold this series, or if Milwaukee has success attacking a banged-up Harden.

That being said, I much prefer Milwaukee outright or +3 if it gets that high than the Over 215.5 (-115) in Bucks-Nets.

Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets Game 5 odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Tuesday’s Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets Game 5 odds and lines, with NBA picks, tips and predictions.

The Brooklyn Nets host the Milwaukee Bucks for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals Tuesday with the series tied 2-2. Tip-off is slated for 8:30 p.m. ET at Barclays Center. Below, we analyze the Bucks vs. Nets odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.

The Bucks are surging and won both Games 3 and 4 at home. They’re finally playing well. SG Bryn Forbes and SF P.J. Tucker combined for 23 points while two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo put up 34 in Game 4.

If they get those types of performances again, even with PG Jrue Holiday topping 15 points, the Bucks should come out on top.

For the Nets, it has to be the Kevin Durant show. Kyrie Irving went down with an ankle injury in Game 4 and has been ruled out for Game 5. James Harden isn’t going to play, either.

The Big 3 is down to just Durant. He went 9-for-25 from the field in Game 4 and the former MVP will need more help from players like SG Joe Harris. Role players must step up with the stars out.

Bucks at Nets: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bucks 113, Nets 108

Money line (ML)

PASS on the Bucks (-190) because a money line at that price against potentially the best player on the planet is not a great bet. The Bucks should come out on top but it’s too much to risk.

They’ll be away from home. In their first-round series, that didn’t matter, and it shouldn’t matter much against an injury-ravaged Nets team, either.

The story of this game will be the injuries to Irving and Harden. The duo combined for 51.5 points per game in the regular season.

Losing them and asking SG Landry Shamet and G Bruce Brown to replace them is not how the Nets are going to win. First-year head coach Steve Nash is in a tough position.

Nonetheless, Durant is enough to avoid betting against the Nets at that value.

Against the spread (ATS)

“LEAN” to the BUCKS -4 (-115) because Nets C Blake Griffin couldn’t slow down Antetokounmpo in Game 4, and there’s no reason to believe Brooklyn will be able to tame him at home.

While the Nets got little from most of their role players, the Bucks got less from a few stars. C Brook Lopez combined with Holiday to score 20 points in Game 4. They likely won’t do that poorly again.

Combine that with the Nets injuries and I fully expect the Bucks to come out hot and ready to dominate on both ends of the court.

Over/Under (O/U)

Bet the OVER 217.5 (-110) because the stars should be controlling the game.

After Brown took a few odd shots at the end of Game 4, it’ll likely be the Durant show at all times. He’ll be creating almost every play. While Brown and company must step up, Durant will likely enter in attack-first mode. For the Bucks, Antetokounmpo is coming off his second straight 30-point game.

Also, Tuesday’s projected total dropped significantly with the teams playing to the Under in each of the first four games.

The Bucks and Nets were the top two teams in scoring during the regular season. Harden and Irving were both factors, but eventually, the firepower will be unleashed.

Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets odds, picks and prediction

Previewing Monday’s Milwaukee Bucks at Brooklyn Nets NBA betting odds and lines, with basketball picks, tips and predictions.

The Milwaukee Bucks (9-4) face off against the Brooklyn Nets (8-6) at the Barclays Center in what is probably the headliner of the NBA’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day slate. The tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Bucks-Nets NBA betting odds and lines, with picks and predictions.

Milwaukee is on a four-game winning streak (2-2 against the spread) entering Monday’s meeting with the Nets. The Bucks squeaked past the Dallas Mavericks 112-109 as 8-point home favorites Friday. Despite not covering vs. the Mavericks, Milwaukee is still 3-2 ATS against above-.500 teams.

The Nets won their first game since trading for former MVP James Harden by beating the Orlando Magic 122-115 at home Saturday but couldn’t cover as 9-point favorites. Harden was spectacular in his debut, posting a triple-double with 32 points, 12 rebounds and 14 assists. Not to be outdone, PF Kevin Durant dropped 42 points on 16-for-26 shooting with 4 rebounds and 5 assists.

Not that it matters given all of Brooklyn’s recent roster turnover, but the Bucks have beaten the Nets in seven of their past 10 contests (6-4 ATS).

Bucks at Nets: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Bucks 121, Nets 113

Money line (ML)

If continuity and defense are a thing in basketball, and it is, then how can you not TAKE the BUCKS (-140) here? This could be the Nets’ first game with their trio of all-time scorers if Irving can play, and Milwaukee has the highest regular-season winning percentage since head coach Mike Budenholzer was hired in 2018.

The acquisition of PG Jrue Holiday fortified Milwaukee’s perimeter defense and gave the Bucks a big three featuring Holiday, reigning back-to-back MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and All-Star SF Khris Middleton.

The market is high on the Nets—most bookmakers made Brooklyn the favorite to win the Eastern Conference after acquiring Harden—and while there’s a good chance these teams meet in a playoff series, the Nets need time to get comfortable with each other. I’d BET BUCKS (-140) to win the first matchup between these title contenders.

Against the spread (ATS)

PASS ON THE SPREAD and just stick with betting Milwaukee to just win. You could pick either or, but my preference is the Bucks’ money line.

Over/Under (O/U)

Milwaukee is too good defensively to bet an Over if this total is in the mid 230s. The Bucks rank eighth in defensive rating and sixth in opponent’s 3-point percentage. I am nervous betting against the Nets’ superstars getting buckets, so I lean UNDER 237.5 (-110) for a quarter-unit
