The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-6) and New York Giants (2-8) meet in Week 12 Sunday. Kickoff from MetLife Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NFL odds around the Buccaneers vs. Giants odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.

The Buccaneers return in Week 12 after a Week 10 loss to the 49ers, 23-20, marking their 4th consecutive defeat. Tampa Bay covered as a 6.5-point home underdog, with the Under 49.5 hitting. RBs Bucky Irving and Rachaad White were bright spots, combining for 157 total yards and 2 touchdowns. Despite their efforts, the 49ers secured the win with a game-ending field goal by K Jake Moody.

The Giants are back after a Week 12 bye, following their 5th straight loss in Week 11, falling 20-17 in overtime to the Panthers. They failed to cover as 7.5-point favorites, while the Under 40 hit. QB Daniel Jones struggled again with 2 interceptions, leading to his benching and eventual release. Rookie RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown in an otherwise disappointing team performance.

Buccaneers at Giants picks and predictions

Prediction

Buccaneers 24, Giants 13

Moneyline

PASS.

There is just too much going on with the Giants to contend in this game. I’ve got the Buccaneers (-225) taking this game in New York but I’ll look to the spread to make my bet.

Against the spread

BET BUCCANEERS -6 (-115).

The Giants turn to QB Tommy DeVito in Week 12 after a chaotic week that saw Jones benched and released, with QB Drew Lock reportedly unhappy about being bypassed. Tampa Bay’s defense, anchored by LB Lavonte David and DT Vita Vea, thrives on pressuring quarterbacks and forcing turnovers, a likely issue for the inexperienced DeVito. With the hopeful return of Evans to lead the offense, the Buccaneers should exploit mismatches in the Giants’ secondary and control the game to cover the spread.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 41.5 (-110).

DeVito’s inexperience against Tampa Bay’s aggressive defense likely spells trouble for the Giants’ offensive output. The Buccaneers have gone Over the total in 7 of 10 games, but this matchup presents a different scenario. Tampa Bay’s pass rush and physical secondary should disrupt New York’s rhythm, while the Buccaneers’ methodical, time-controlling offense keeps the pace slow. With both teams struggling for explosive plays, the game flow points to the total staying under the number.

  • The Giants lost 22-21 at the Philadelphia Eagles in the Week 7 Thursday game, blowing a 21-10 lead in the final 6:17. The G-Men covered as 5-point underdogs and are also 4-3 ATS. Their only win of 2020 was a 20-19 victory vs. the Washington Football Team the previous week.

Buccaneers at Giants: Odds, prediction, betting lines and picks

Prediction

Buccaneers 35, Giants 17

Money line (?)

PASS. The price is way too high. The Bucs (-625) will win and it’s just a matter of by how many points. Brady has never lost to a 1-win team in Week 8 or later.

Against the spread (?)

Sure, it’s a lot of points, but the BUCCANEERS -13 (-110) are the STRONGEST PLAY – 1.5 times your usual wager. Brady is hot, throwing 15 TDs against one interception over the last five games. The Giants are cold – scoring more than 21 points just once this season. Monday, they face a Bucs defense that allows an NFL-best 66.0 rushing yards per game (YPG).

Over/Under (?)

OVER 44.5 (-115) is the way to go. The Bucs average 31.7 points per game, ranking third in the league. They’ve scored 38 or more points in three of their last four. The Giants allow 251.3 passing YPG. This could get ugly, but the Giants have to score at least 10 points, right?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers double-digit favorites at New York Giants in Week 8

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the betting favorites in their Week 8 road game at the New York Giants on Monday Night Football.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-2) visit the New York Giants (1-6) in the Week 8 Monday Night Football game at MetLife Stadium at 8:15 p.m. ET. Here’s a look at the early Week 8 betting odds and lines at BetMGM Sportsbook.

Tom Brady threw four touchdowns and ran for another as the Buccaneers claimed a 45-20 victory at the Las Vegas Raiders Sunday. Brady – who now leads New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees in all-time TD passes 559-558 – was 33-for-45 for 369 yards. Trailing 10-7 early in the second quarter, Brady threw TD passes to TE Rob Gronkowski (5 catches, 62 yards) and WR Scotty Miller (6 catches, 109 yards) and gave the Bucs a 21-10 lead into the break. The Raiders trimmed the lead to 24-20 early in the fourth quarter before the Bucs scored the final 21 points of the game. Brady first hit WR Chris Godwin (9 catches, 88 yards) for a 4-yard score, RB Ronald Jones Jr. scored on a 1-yard run and WR Tyler Johnson pulled in Brady’s final TD. RB Leonard Fournette led the Bucs ground game with 50 yards on 11 carries.

The Giants lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 22-21 in Week 7’s Thursday game. The G-Men led 21-10 with 6:17 to go after WR Sterling Shepard pulled in a 2-yard pass from QB Daniel Jones (20-for-30, 187 yards, 2 TDs, 1 interception), but the defense allowed TD drives of 68 and 75 yards as the Eagles scored the final 12 points – missing 2-point conversion attempts on both. The Giants, which had a one-game win streak snapped, were 3-for-10 on third-down attempts and finished with nine penalties for 62 yards in the loss.
