Browns: Michael Hall Jr. ‘happy to rep’ Cleveland in first NFL game

The rookie felt all the emotions on Saturday

The first preseason game of the year is now in the books for the Cleveland Browns as they lost to the Green Bay Packers 23-10 on Saturday. Michael Hall Jr., who is from Cleveland, took the field for the first time in his hometown and talked about it after the game.

Hall talked about how it was everything to him and how he had to get his emotions down and do his thing on the field. It wasn’t a super productive game for Hall, who finished with just one tackle, but getting his first professional snaps under his belt will help him settle into his rookie year.

The former Ohio State star will play a role with the Browns as a rookie and has shown flashes of his ridiculous explosiveness and athleticism in camp so far. Next, the Browns will have joint practices with the Minnesota Vikings this week before facing them in their second preseason game next weekend.

The Philadelphia Eagles (0-1) return to action on Thursday night at Lincoln Financial Field against the Cleveland Browns (1-1) following their joint practices on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Eagles are experimenting with the talent on both sides of the ball, with last week’s highlights including D’Andre Swift’s breakaway run and Jalen Carter’s pressure in his second snap with the team.

The Browns, on the other hand, enter the game with one preseason win under their belt already. They beat the Jets in the Hall of Fame Game, 21-16. Cleveland also almost beat the Washington Commanders losing by two points, 17-15.

Sirianni noted that he would rotate the running back room, with Rashaad Penny and Swift likely sitting the home game out.
