A couple week after the Brooklyn Nets announced their 2020-21 Classic Edition uniforms, which pay homage to the 1990-91 New Jersey Nets, the franchise unveiled a new court design to match the uniforms. It turns out that won’t be the only new court design featured at Barclays Center throughout the 2020-21 NBA season.
Earlier in December, the Nets unveiled their 2020-21 City Edition Uniforms, which pay homage to the late Brooklyn artist Jean-Michel Basquiat — whose work Kevin Durant is a big fan of. Brooklyn will also feature a Jean-Michel Basquiat-inspired court in 2020-21.
The Nets have yet to officially announce their City Edition court design, but LockerVision — which has all the uniforms and court designs NBA teams will feature throughout the season — had the design on display, revealing that Nets fans will first see this, and the uniforms that go with it, on February 2 when the Miami Heat visit Barclays Center (which will follow a Nets visit to South Beach).
