Former Spartan gets promoted within Miami Marlins organization

Brock Vradenburg is making his way up in the Miami Marlins organization:

Brock Vradenburg was a standout for Michigan State for three seasons before getting drafted in the third round of the 2023 MLB Draft by the Miami Marlins.

Now, within the Marlins organization, the former Spartan slugger is someone that has been swinging the stick well in the minor leagues, so well he has been promoted to Beloit, Wisconsin’s High-A team of the Marlins.

Brock Vradenburg was selected by the Miami Marlins with the 78th overall pick in the third round of this year’s MLB Draft. Vradenburg was an All-American for the Spartans in 2023 and is showing to be one of the best players to come through the MSU baseball program.

Now, Vradenburg is starting his professional career in the Marlins organization for the team’s Class-A affiliate Jupiter Hammerheads. He just reached his first milestone as well, hitting his first professional home run:

Three Spartans got drafted in the 2023 MLB Draft:

The 2023 MLB Entry Draft has come and gone, and the Michigan State Spartans baseball program fared well in the results of the draft. The Spartans saw three of their own get their names called in the draft.

Jake Boss saw his program in a bit of turmoil with some down seasons, but a huge 2023 season that saw the team go 33-22, and was capped with this feather.

A huge season like the one in 2023, capped by three MLB draft picks, can only make fans excited for the direction the baseball program appears to be heading in once again.

Spartan 1B Brock Vradenburg has been selected in the 3rd round of the MLB Draft

Brock Vradenburg had a masterful season with Michigan State in 2023, picking up a multitude of All-American honors after having one of the best hitting season in program history. Now, that historic season has been paid off by earning a selection in the 2023 MLB Draft.

After teammate Mitch Jebb was selected in the second round yesterday, Vradenburg has been selected in the third round today.

The Miami Marlins have selected the Spartan first basemen with the 78th overall selection in the third round of the draft.

Michigan State baseball’s star first baseman Brock Vradenburg is an All-American

Michigan State baseball’s star first baseman Brock Vradenburg is an All-American.

Vradenburg was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association third-team All-America team on Wednesday. This is the second time since the season ended that Vradenburg has been named to an All-American team.

Vradenburg started all 55 games for the Spartans at first base this year, and ranked second in the Big Ten with a batting average of .400. He was the first Spartan to hit .400 or better in a season since 2002.

Brock Vradenburg had a historic season for Michigan State in 2023

Junior Brock Vradenburg officially broke onto the scene for Michigan State during the 2023 season, and he did it in historic fashion.

Vradenburg became the 28th player in program history to have a .400 batting average and is the first since 2002. Vradenburg is almost a lock to be selected early in the MLB draft next month.

Brock Vradenburg went deep, leading the Spartans over Notre Dame in extras

Michigan State won a thriller in South Bend on Tuesday night, defeating the Fighting Irish 7-6 in 11 innings. The Spartans earned a huge program win, and grinded out a slugfest from start to finish.

Brock Vradenburg was the hero in the green and white, blasting a 422-foot home run with two outs in the top half of the 11th inning, giving the Spartans the eventual game winning run.
