Lonzo Ball debuts ‘Disrespectful’ music video from new ‘Bounce Back Album’

Lonzo Ball surprised fans on Friday with an unexpected release of a music video to his song ‘Disrespectful’ from his second album ‘Bounce Back Album.’

Lonzo Ball continued to promote his new album titled “Bounce Back Album” on Friday with a surprise music video. Ball released his first music video from his second album for the song “Disrespectful.”

The track includes a feature verse from Starside. The music video features Starside in a mask. Ball teased the new music video unexpectedly on Instagram with the full music video being uploaded to YouTube.

‘Disrespectful’ is the first music video Ball has had in quite some time. Last summer, Ball and Kenneth Paige dropped a music video together. Ball hasn’t had a music video for his own song since his debut album.

Ball’s “Bounce Back Album” has features from not just Starside but also LiAngelo Ball, Lance Stephenson and Enzo McFly. Ball spoke about his album the day it was released, mentioning much of the album was completed in 2018 but complications held off the release of the album.

After releasing his new album, Bounce Back Album, on Friday, Lonzo Ball talked the details about his latest project.

Lonzo Ball released his second album this weekend titled Bounce Back Album. The album includes features from Enzo McFly, LiAngelo Ball and Lance Stephenson among others.

On Friday, Ball hopped on an Instagram Live with NBA 2K’s Ronnie Singh to talk about a myriad of things, ranging from how often he plays NBA 2K20, his brother LaMelo’s new card in the game and his new album.

Ball said his favorite track on the album was “Trials and Tribulations” while the most meaningful song to him was “Man in the Mirror.” The latter song Ball said was written about his mother and daughter.

He also revealed that the album had been completed multiple years ago but a series of hoops had to be jumped through before it could be released.

“This album was actually done in like 2018. We just now putting it out. It took a long time getting it cleared.”

When talking about Stephenson, Ball was asked for one word to describe his former teammate’s bars in the studio.

“Me and Lance, we click on and off the court. That’s my dude for life, man. It’s always fun getting with him in the booth. Definitely, if I had to pick one word, it’d be energy. He brings a lot of energy.”

Ball and Stephenson had a pair of songs together on Bounce Back Album, one being “Swerve” which was released last season. The other song is titled “Pulling Up.”

After promising new music at the start of the pandemic and releasing sporadic singles during, Lonzo Ball announced on his Instagram on Tuesday that his second album titled “Bounce Back Album” will drop on Friday, June 26.

Ball’s new album will include features from Enzo and Lance Stephenson, both artists (or teammates) he’s worked with in the past, as well as manager and friend Darren Moore and brother LiAngelo Ball.

A handful of songs on the 17-track playlist have been released as singles. Lonzo and LiAngelo released “Tick Tock” last week while “Swerve” with Stephenson was released last year during their time together as teammates with the Los Angeles Lakers. Lonzo also released “Vibes” with Enzo last year.

The remainder of the album will all be new music from Ball. Last season, Ball did work with Stephenson and JaVale McGee, who recently produced a track for Justin Bieber. Whether any songs produced by McGee are on the album remains to be seen.
