The Celtics fell flat against the Rockets on Monday night. It’s rare for them to have back-to-back performances like that one, but the absence of Williams against the T-wolves could be significant. At -210, I’m not willing to bet the juice on the Celtics to win outright on the road against a motivated Minnesota team in chase of a playoff berth, so I would PASS on the ML.
Against the spread
The Celtics are just 3-7 ATS when favored by 5-7 points. They’re also just 10-11-1 ATS following a loss compared to 26-21 after a win.
When the Timberwolves are getting between 5 and 7 points, they’re an impressive 6-3 ATS. If Gobert plays against this Celtics team without Williams, the Timberwolves could dominate the glass and end up winning this game outright.
