The 19th-ranked Boise State Broncos (5-1, 2-0 Mountain West) and UNLV Rebels (6-1, 2-0) meet Friday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Kickoff is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET (CBS Sports Network). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s college football odds around the Boise State vs. UNLV odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.
Boise State went out to the islands and took care of Hawaii Oct. 12, winning 28-7 while pushing as a 21-point favorite at most shops. The Under (60) cashed, too, halting a 5-game Over streak to begin the season. Prior to the Hawaii game, the Broncos had scored 45 or more points in 4 of the 1st 5 games and 34 or more points in each of the 1st 5 outings.
UNLV posted an impressive 33-25 win at Oregon State as a 6.5-point favorite as the Under (61.5) connected Saturday. UNLV has scored 33 or more points in 4 straight games, while allowing 25 or more points in each of the previous 3. The Over has cashed in 3 of the past 4 games. The Rebels are 5-2 against the spread in the previous 7 contests.

Boise State at UNLV picks and predictions
Prediction
Boise State 37, UNLV 31
Moneyline
If you’re a bit on the conservative side, play BOISE STATE (-165) as a moderate favorite if you don’t want to fiddle around with the points.
It’s a tall order to battle UNLV (+140) in its place, but the difference maker will be Heisman hopeful RB Ashton Jeanty. While the Rebels allow just 104.4 rushing yards per game, they haven’t faced an NFL-caliber tailback like Jeanty, a tailback with 1,248 rushing yards, 9.9 yards per carry and 17 rushing scores in just 6 games.
Against the spread
Back BOISE STATE -3.5 (+100) at even-money laying the points.
The Broncos struggled last weekend in Hawaii, but they likely were looking ahead to this important clash which has playoff implications.
UNLV +3.5 (-120) needs this victory, and QB Hajj-Malik Williams should be able to move the ball through the air against the Broncos. This won’t be a blowout one way or the other. But, again, the difference in this game is Jeanty.
Over/Under
It seems like a rather large number, but OVER 65.5 (-110) is worth a look.
Both of these teams have explosive offenses, and both sides have leaky defense in certain areas. That’s a good recipe for the total to go high.
Boise State has cashed high in 5 of 6 games this season, averaging 523.0 total yards, 289.8 rushing yards and 46.8 points per game, while allowing 26.2 PPG.
For UNLV, it has managed 251.4 rushing yards and 43.6 points per game, while allowing 278.7 passing yards per game and 22.6 PPG. The scoreboard operator will be busy.
