Michigan State basketball head coach Tom Izzo added Oakland University legend Blake Lampman to his coaching staff in a support role. Bringing in the Haslett native is a big deal for both the Spartans and the Golden Grizzlies legend.

Blake Lampman grabbed Tom Izzo’s attention last season and now will join his staff as a graduate assistant

According to a report from Griffin Beers, a writer covering the Oakland Men’s Basketball team, Oakland basketball alum Blake Lampman is joining the Michigan State basketball staff as a graduate assistant.

Lampman is from the East Lansing area, where he played for Haslett HIgh School. He has played the most games in Oakland basketball history, and caught the attention of Izzo during this past season. Now, he will join Izzo’s staff.
