A class of 2024 pitcher has committed to the University of Nebraska. Blake Encarnacion is a 6-4 175-pound pitcher out of Friendswood, Texas.
He made the announcement on social media.
I am honored to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic dreams at the University of Nebraska. I want to thank God for all the opportunities I have received this past year. I’m thankful for all of my family, friends and coaches who have pushed me to be who I am today. Thank you to my parents who believed and allowed me to pursue my dreams at playing at the next level. Thank you Coach Bolt, Coach Childress, Coach Harvell, and Coach Sirianni for allowing me to have this opportunity to be a Husker.Â
The right-handed pitcher has a fastball that hits between 86-89 MPH and has topped at 91 MPH. He also has a slider that hits 75-78 MPH and has topped at 80 MPH.
