‘Better than gold’ Mike Perry wants to settle trash talk with Darren Till inside BKFC ring

Mike Perry wants to settle his differences with fellow UFC veteran Darren Till inside the BKFC ring.

BKFC’s “King of Violence” [autotag]Mike Perry[/autotag] has yet to find his match in bareknuckle competition and certainly wants to find it.

Perry (5-0 BKFC) finished Thiago Alves in the first round of the KnuckleMania 4 main event in Los Angeles, sending the former BKFC champ and fellow UFC veteran into retirement.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity that I had tonight to face him, the ‘Pitbull,'” Perry told reporters at a post-fight news conference. “There was a time, if you look on YouTube, there was a fight that I had where they called me Mike ‘Pitbull’ Perry. That was only that one time. Of course, I respect Thiago, and I mean, he was a champion here, so it was an honor to fight against him.

“I tried to let him know I was coming for him. I tried to curse in his face, and get the antics going before the fight. I wasn’t sure, I thought he was focused and ready. I mean, he split me good, right? But I’m just ‘Platinum,’ and that is quite the conductor of energy.”

Alves (2-1 BKFC) won the 185-pound BKFC title in June 2021, but was stripped of the title when his contract expired the following year. Perry welcomed him back Saturday night, sending the 40-year-old into retirement with a quick knockout loss.

Going forward, “Platinum” Perry wants it all. During his post-fight interview in the ring, he mentioned a number of names and called for his shot at the title, which BKFC president David Feldman said it was something he deserved. Among those names was fellow UFC vet Darren Till, with whom Perry has been in multiple verbal exchanges.

“I think that fight is something a lot of people have wanted for a long time, including me and him, you know, he’s talking big sh*t,” Perry said. “He’s talking his sh*t, but he ain’t doing nothing. I’m talking sh*t and I’m out here doing it. So, get your ass – he say he’s in the gym or whatever and he’s working and he with, you know,  Khamzat (Chimaev) is undefeated. But he’s over there in the MMA world chasing that gold.

“I’m better than gold. I am the gold over here, I’m above it. I’m ‘Platinum.'”

Mike Perry thanks Conor McGregor for becoming BKFC owner: ‘He’s done remarkable things’

“King of Violence” Mike Perry is glad to see former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor take on ownership of BKFC.

[autotag]Conor McGregor[/autotag] is now an owner of BKFC, and “King of Violence” [autotag]Mike Perry[/autotag] couldn’t be happier.

During the KnuckleMania 4 broadcast Saturday night, BKFC president David Feldman revealed a massive announcement for the promotion. A video package played with McGregor announcing McGregor Sports & Entertainment has become an owner of BKFC.

Perry (5-0 BKFC), who finished Thiago Alves in the first round of the KnuckleMania 4 main event in Los Angeles, had nothing but good things to say about McGregor after the event.

“Thank you, man,” Perry said during a post-fight news conference. “I know you see it. We all love Conor McGregor’s fights. I mean, he’s the biggest combat sports star in history, probably besides, you know, we still love Mike Tyson. He’s still about to do something big on this Netflix thing. But Conor McGregor, nobody moved that needle like him and the Irish fans. The Irish fanbase is like the No. 1 combat sports fanbase because they travel across the world to come and see Conor McGregor all the time.

“He’s just done remarkable things and I remember still to this day when he knocked out Jose Aldo, what I thought about it. I was just like, ‘Damn, bro.’ Because I knew Jose and I didn’t know Conor, so he got me back then. The same way Ryan Garcia got our ass the other day when we thought he was crazy and then he beat the 31-0, and he showed up and fought like a man.”

McGregor has shown interest in BKFC over the years. During a post-event news conference, Feldman explained how the relationship with McGregor grew from sponsorship deals into an ownership stake. According to Feldman, “The Notorious” loves what BKFC has been building and is eager to help it continue to grow.

Even though they faced off with one another inside the BKFC ring to tease a fantasy matchup, Perry is on board, considering he has admired McGregor’s accomplishments in combat sports.

“I can look at those things and respect those things because I’m out here trying to do those things too,” Perry said. “I may not always do it clean, like Conor McGregor pieced up Eddie Alvarez in the ring, and it was a little different than the way it went with me.

“But I haven’t fought longer than four minutes in three years, dude. My sh*t don’t go long at all. I’m out here hurting people or they quit, or they give up. I break their hearts. Conor’s always got heart. Even when we seen him down, he’s still to be heard. They took him out on stretcher and was still telling people how he felt about sh*t. But I’ll beat anybody in the world, period.”

BKFC KnuckleMania 4 results: Mike Perry makes quick work of Thiago Alves, goes ballistic afterward

Thiago Alves was gone in 60 seconds because of one punch from the “King of Violence” Mike Perry.

LOS ANGELES – [autotag]Thiago Alves[/autotag] was gone in 60 seconds because of one punch from the “King of Violence.”

On Saturday night, [autotag]Mike Perry[/autotag] remained undefeated as a bareknuckle boxer after he landed a hard left hook that knocked down Alves in the first minute of their BKFC KnuckleMania 4 headliner. Alves couldn’t answer the 10-count, giving Perry the win by TKO.

The result was the latest triumph in what’s been a post-UFC career resurgence from Perry, who is now 5-0 in BKFC with wins over Julian Lane, Michael Page, Luke Rockhold, Eddie Alvarez, and now Alves.

“My easiest fight yet, just like I said it would be,” Perry said during his post-fight interview. “I’m the undisputed king of bareknuckle. I’m No. 1 pound-for-pound. F*ck anybody who thinks differently. I’m the king in this b*tch. Come and see me, bro. If you want the smoke, if you want the money, I want all the smoke and all the money. You can’t beat me. It’s my money. Give me the belt. Let’s go, David Feldman. … I’ve been screaming all night. I’ve been ready for this. It’s life long. Come and see me, bro. I’ll f*ck you up in here.”

Not surprisingly, Perry threw out a high-profile trio of names as potential next moves.

“… Darren Till, you fat f*cking b*tch. Get your ass over here, or I’ll come to the UK.,” Perry said. “Nate Diaz got a fight with Jorge Masvidal, some East Coast vs. West Coast sh*t. Throw the hands. I would’ve asked for a faceoff, but (Nate) would’ve told me to square off with myself, motherf*ckers. So shoutout to him, man. I ain’t a hater. We are all out here trying to make it. I’m f*cking fighting for every step I take.”
