Bill Nye the Science Guy to raise the 12th Man Flag

Bill Nye the Science Guy to raise the 12th Man Flag

The Seattle Seahawks are wearing their throwback uniforms at home, and are embracing a full-blown 90’s theme at Lumen Field. From blue colored end zones, to black and white team updates in the press box, the clock has been officially turned back in Seattle.

So then who better to raise the12th Man Flag than one of the most beloved icons of the 90’s than Bill Nye the Science Guy!? The latest individual to have the honor of raising the flag will be none other than the man who made science rule for millions of students across the country.

Bill Nye was the host of the educational program Bill Nye the Science Guy from 1993-1999, and became a staple in classrooms everywhere. Nye has become a cult classic celebrity, if you will, and is still incredibly popular.

Nye eventually came to the Emerald City after college in the 1970’s to work for Boeing, and has remained a Seattleite ever since.

Needless to say, this is the perfect choice to raise the 12th Man Flag on a day like today. And of course, if you’re like me, the classic Bill Nye theme song is now stuck in your head, and you’re probably thinking of looking it up on YouTube when you’re done reading. Well, let me save you a step!
