A Nebraska volleyball player has been named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week. Junior libero Lexi Rodriguez earned the honor from the conference office on Monday afternoon.
This is the second time this season that Rodriguez has earned the award and her fifth time overall. The two-time All-American helped the Huskers clinch the conference title last week with sweeps over Michigan and Iowa.
The Huskers held their two opponents to a combined .086 hitting percentage, a stat they lead the nation in with a percentage of .131. The No. 1 ranked Cornhuskers will retake the floor on Friday when they travel to Madison to take on Wisconsin.
