Alex’s best bet: Kansas at BYU prediction

This week she is zoned in on Saturday night’s Big 12 matchup between the unbeaten BYU Cougars (9-0, 6-0 Big 12) and Kansas Jayhawks (3-6, 2-4). Kickoff from LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah, is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN.

BYU is No. 6 in the College Football Playoff Rankings and No. 8 in the US LBM Coaches Poll. As of Friday at 1:50 a.m. ET, BetMGM Sportsbook has the Cougars favored by 2.5 points.

Saturday will be the third all-time meeting between Kansas and BYU. The Jayhawks won 38-27 last season as 9-point home favorites with the Over (56) cashing. The first meeting was in the 1992 Aloha Bowl, which Kansas rallied for a 23-20 victory.
