The Pirates (+125) are 2-12 in their last 14 games and own the worst record in the majors at 4-17.

The Brewers took two of three at the Pirates in July and were 15-4 vs. the Bucs in 2019. They also are 3-1 in Houser’s 2020 starts.

Moneyline (ML)

Both the White Sox (-112) and Cubs (+100) have played good baseball lately, with the White Sox winning five in a row; however, four of those games were against the lowly Detroit Tigers. The Cubs went 3-2 against the rival St. Louis Cardinals.

I’m going with the Cubs in this one, especially if Robert is sidelined. Lester is pitching well even with a lower strikeout rate and will limit the damage done by a hot White Sox team.

Take the CUBS (+100) at even money.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The White Sox come in favored over the Cubs on the road, with a run line of -1.5 (+135). The Cubs are getting +1.5 runs at -162, which doesn’t provide much upside. Still, I feel good about the Cubs at least keeping it close, so getting runs is a solid bet, even against Keuchel.

Bet the CUBS +1.5 (-162) to cover the spread.

Over/Under (O/U)

The Over/Under is 9.5 in this matchup, tied for the highest of the night. Both starters come in with solid numbers despite striking out fewer batters than they’re used to.

In their last five meetings, the total has gone under four times. If Robert and Bryant are both sidelined, it’ll be a dent in both teams’ lineups, making the under all the more likely.

Bet the UNDER 9.5 (-110).

With Bregman likely to be out of the lineup for Houston, expect the Rockies to take advantage. Take the ROCKIES (-129) to win.

Over/Under (O/U)

Colorado’s games go Under 56.5% of the time. That said, after exploding for a combined 19 runs Wednesday, that total will come down but still go for more than the 11 run total. Take the OVER 11.5 RUNS (-106).

The Rays (+170) are still plenty capable and boast a 15-9 record with a young ace on the mound, but they need Glasnow to get out of the rut he’s in. Rather than betting on either side with the moneyline, I’d rather PASS and look at the run line.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The YANKEES -1.5 (+110) are the play to win by 2 or more runs Wednesday. That’s a very fair spread for this matchup, especially with Cole on the mound. I’d feel comfortable giving up 1.5 runs in a wager on the Yankees, especially with Glasnow’s recent struggles.

Go with the YANKEES -1.5 (+110) to cover and win by 2 or more runs.

Over/Under (O/U)

The Over/Under is only 8 in this one, partly because two aces are on the mound. The Yankees shouldn’t give up many runs with Cole pitching, but Glasnow has blown up in his last two starts.

Even without LeMahieu, Stanton and Judge, the Yankees will score enough to put the total over eight runs. Bet the OVER 8 (-110).
