Before looking at SportsbookWire staff’s Week 8 NFL picks, here are the against-the-spread (ATS) and Over/Under (O/U) leaders, according to Teamrankings.com.

With the Minnesota Vikings losing at home 31-29 as a 1-point favorite to the Detroit Lions in Week 7, there are no more NFL teams perfect against the spread.

The Indianapolis Colts have the best ATS record at 6-1, followed by the Vikings, Lions and Kansas City Chiefs — each 5-1 ATS. The Washington Commanders are 5-1-1 ATS, while the Chicago Bears are 4-1-1 ATS — the Bears visit the Commanders Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS).

As of Thursday at 12:41 p.m. ET, BetMGM Sportsbook lists NFL odds of:

Bears -2.5 (-115) | Commanders +2.5 (-105).

Meanwhile, the Carolina Panthers are 1-6 ATS, just worse than the LA Rams, Miami Dolphins and Tennessee Titans, who are each 1-5 ATS, while the New England Patriots are 1-5-1 ATS.

As for totals, the Baltimore Ravens boast a 6-1 Over record, best in the NFL. Five teams are 5-2 O/U. They are the Panthers, New Orleans Saints, Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Commanders.

The New York Giants have the best Under record at 6-1, while the Under is 5-1 for both the LA Chargers and Dolphins.

Before looking at SportsbookWire staff’s Week 8 NFL picks, here’s some interesting facts.

Five teams — Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins — are an NFL-best 5-2 against the spread (ATS) entering Week 8, according Teamrankings.com. All but Kansas City (6-1) are 5-2 straight up.

The Dallas Cowboys (4-2 SU), Houston Texans (3-3), New York Jets (3-3), Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) and Seattle Seahawks (4-2) are each 4-2 ATS, while the Los Angeles Rams (3-4) and Philadelphia Eagles (6-1) are both 4-2-1 ATS.

On the flip side, the Carolina Panthers (0-6) are 0-5-1 ATS, only 1 cover better than the Denver Broncos (2-5) and New Orleans Saints (3-4), who are both 1-5-1 ATS.

As for totals, the Chicago Bears (2-5) own the best Over record with a 6-1 O/U showing, followed by the Indianapolis Colts (3-4), who at 5-2 O/U.

Four teams are 1-6 O/U. They are the Atlanta Falcons (4-3), Minnesota Vikings (3-4), Saints and New York Giants (2-5). The Steelers and Tennessee Titans (2-4) are both 1-5 O/U.

There are no byes this week, which kicked off with Buffalo Bills (5-3) winning 24-18 at home vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-4) Thursday. However, the Bucs covered as 10-point underdogs, improving to 4-3 ATS — the Bills are 3-5 ATS. The Under (43.5) cashed, which has been a trend for the Bucs, who are now 1-6 O/U; the Bills are 3-5 O/U.

The Bears visit the Los Angeles Chargers (2-4 SU, 2-4 ATS, 2-4 O/U) for the Sunday night game (8:20 p.m. ET, NBC), while the Monday Night Football Game features the Las Vegas Raiders (3-4 SU, 3-4 ATS, 2-5 O/U) — kickoff set for 8:15 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN).
