Bengals announce Tim Krumrie and Corey Dillon as Ring of Honor inductees

The Bengals reveal two new members of the Ring of Honor.

The Cincinnati Bengals will induct franchise legends Tim Krumrie and Corey Dillon in the team’s Ring of Honor this year.

Both were shoo-ins, with Dillon a staple of team history and the franchise’s all-time leader in rushing attempts (1865) and rushing yards (8061). Krumrie, a 10th-round pick in 1983, had a prolific 12-year career with the team, including multiple Pro Bowls and a first-team All-Pro nod.

The duo will join Willie Anderson, Paul Brown, Isaac Curtis, Boomer Esiason, Chad Johnson, Anthony Muñoz and Ken Riley in the Ring of Honor.

The nominees, voted on by season-ticket holders, will enter the ring during the ceremony when the Bengals host the Washington Commanders on Monday, Sept. 23.

The 2024 Ring of Honor ballot is here.

The Cincinnati Bengals have revealed which game will serve as its Ring of Honor showcase during the 2024 season.

Alongside doing that, the team has also pulled back the proverbial curtain on which players will populate the ballot this year:

  • K JIM BREECH (1980-92)
  • RB JAMES BROOKS (1984-91)
  • WR CRIS COLLINSWORTH (1981-88)
  • RB COREY DILLON (1997-2003)
  • S DAVID FULCHER (1986-92)
  • NT TIM KRUMRIE (1983-94)
  • G DAVE LAPHAM (1974-83)
  • RG MAX MONTOYA (1979-89)
  • CB LEMAR PARRISH (1970-77)

  • LB REGGIE WILLIAMS (1976-89)

Last year, the Bengals added Boomer Esiason and Chad Johnson to the list of Ken Anderson, Willie Anderson, Paul Brown, Isaac Curtis, Anthony Muñoz and Ken Riley.

This year, the inductees should make for an interesting debate as the obvious names have now earned their place.

Two names will join Anthony Munoz and Paul Brown in the inaugural class of the Cincinnati Bengals Ring of Honor this summer.

The Bengals announced the first two names before the draft and revealed that two more would gain entry via votes by season-ticket holders.

Thursday, Cincinnati announced the 17 names eligible to receive votes:

  • QB Ken Anderson
  • OT Willie Anderson
  • K Jim Breech
  • RB James Brooks
  • WR Cris Collinsworth
  • WR Isaac Curtis
  • RB Corey Dillon
  • QB Boomer Esiason
  • S David Fulcher
  • WR Chad Johnson
  • DT Tim Krumrie
  • G Dave Lapham
  • G Max Montoya
  • CB Lemar Parrish
  • CB Ken Riley
  • TE Bob Trumpy
  • LB Reggie Williams

The Bengals will use a tiered system of voting giving more weight to fans who have had season tickets the longest, so it’s easy to think names like Ken Anderson will be the first in the door this year.

Either way, this is a pretty comprehensive list of who figures to eventually get in the door, though keeping the entires to two or four per year will keep it pretty exclusive, as it should be.
