NFL world hyped over Bengals possibly sneaking into playoffs

Some fans really want to see the Bengals slip into the playoffs and create chaos.

The Cincinnati Bengals have a very slim chance of sneaking into the playoffs based on the early Week 16 results.

Granted, the Bengals need some serious help in addition to winning the rest of their games. They need the Denver Broncos to keep losing, plus losses by the Indianapolis Colts and Miami Dolphins.

But fans and media can’t stop loving the idea of Joe Burrow sneaking into the playoffs.

Burrow has been playing at an MVP level for most of the season and if the team wins out, he might have a decent chance in that conversation.

More importantly, though, the Bengals getting in might mean Burrow gets a shot at both Buffalo and Kansas City, in some order—and anything can happen in the playoffs.

Here’s a look at the budding hype around the Bengals potentially sneaking Burrow into the postseason to cause some chaos:

Bengals fans love Joe Burrow applying pressure to team’s front office

Joe Burrow put the Bengals on notice about Tee Higgins and fans love it.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow stunned onlookers after Monday night’s win over the Dallas Cowboys.

There, Burrow essentially said he’s “confident” the team will get wideout Tee Higgins back this offseason and that he’ll do what it takes to see that happen.

What that exactly means is hard to say. Maybe it means he’ll restructure his contract to make it work. Who knows?

What it does mean, though, is that Burrow is going public with his desire to have Higgins back when he could have easily just thrown out the usual no comment and moved on with the interview.

Considering Burrow has spent the last few weeks talking about the cornerstone guys of the franchise for the long-term, it is now very clear he includes Higgins in that group.

Message sent — and fans love it.

Bengals shredded by fans for wasting Joe Burrow after QB’s award

Bengals fans had something to say while the team announced Joe Burrow’s award.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, as usual, was electric during the month of November.

While Burrow’s team as a whole wasn’t winning games, he was still playing at a high level, to the point he was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month.

Over that span, Burrow completed 61.4 percent of his passes for 1,035 yards, 12 touchdowns, and one interception, moving his season totals to 67.7, 3,337 yards, 30 touchdowns, and five interceptions.

If Burrow’s Bengals weren’t 4-8, one could argue he would be in the lead for the MVP award.

And while the team had to announce that Burrow received the honor, fans understandably blasted the Bengals for wasting an MVP-caliber season in the middle of a Super Bowl window.

Here’s how fans are feeling about Burrow’s great month and the team’s not-so-great season:
