What Madden 21 rating did rookie WR Darnell Mooney receive?

Madden 21 has started to release its position rankings for rookies, and rookie WR Darnell Mooney is the first Bears player to get a ranking.

Madden 21 has started to release its position rankings for rookies, and the first Chicago Bears rookie has gotten his rating.

Rookie receiver Darnell Mooney received a 66 overall rating, which included a 93 speed rating. Considering Mooney garnered a reputation for being a speedy downfield threat, the 93 speed and 92 acceleration ratings are well earned.

While there were plenty of issues on offense for the Bears last season, one thing they were missing from their receiving corp. was a speedy threat following Taylor Gabriel’s injury struggles. Which is why they went out and drafted Mooney and added veteran speedster Ted Ginn Jr. this offseason.

EA Sports has partnered with ESPN to share the full ratings, which will be revealed beginning on July 13. ESPN will unveil ratings throughout the week on its programming, including members of Madden’s 99 Club, the highest rating on the game.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with ESPN to announce Madden NFL 21 player ratings, one of our most anticipated moments each year that sparks intense debate across the sports world,” EA Sports executive Julie Foster said. “Madden ratings are a direct reflection of the on-field performance of players, so it’s no surprise that fans, and the NFL players themselves, are so passionate about them. We can’t wait to see the discussion unfold on ESPN in the coming week.”
