Class of 2026 OL with Wisconsin offer decommits from Arkansas

Class of 2026 offensive lineman Bear McWhorter announced his decommitment from Arkansas on Sunday.

Wisconsin offered the three-star interior lineman back in March, then had him on campus for a visit during the spring.

McWhorter is ranked as 247Sports’ No. 374 player in the class of 2026, No. 30 interior offensive lineman and No. 39 recruit from his home state of Georgia. His extensive offer sheet includes Alabama, Auburn, Boston College, Cincinnati, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.

The Georgia native’s recruitment is sure to pick up as the 2025 recruiting cycle concludes and the 2026 cycle heats up. His offer sheet tells a different story than his three-star recruiting ranking does — a story that may make him a priority for Wisconsin in the coming months.

Wisconsin’s focus is first on its class of 2025 which currently ranks No. 16 in the nation and No. 6 in the new Big Ten with 21 players committed. The Badgers are in strong pursuit of several remaining top targets, including four-star iOL Hardy Watts — who will announce his commitment on July 1 at noon Eastern, 11 a.m. Central.

Sam Pittman adds another big-time commit to Arkansas’ 2026 class

Sam Pittman made another splash on the recruiting trail Sunday afternoon, adding a second big-time commit to the 2026 class.

After landing Tay Lockett, one of the best defensive backs in the 2026 recruiting class, Sam Pittman has added another big-time commitment to that class.

[autotag]Bear McWhorter[/autotag], an offensive lineman from Georgia, announced that he was committing to Arkansas on Sunday afternoon. He made the commitment official with a post to his personal Twitter (X) account. The Cartersville (Ga.) native chose the Hogs over an impressive offer list that included Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee among others.

McWhorter has taken multiple trips to visit Arkansas and, as fans may recall, even took out a billboard to let Pittman know he wanted to play for the Razorback head coach a while back.

Recruiting rankings for the 2026 class aren’t yet active, but McWhorter projects to be a high-end four-star prospect with the potential to end as five-star it’s all said and done. McWhorter is expected to make a visit to Fayetteville on Sept. 16 for the BYU game.

As mentioned previously, he joins Tay Lockett as the only other commit to this class, which is shaping up to be an impressive one for the Hogs.
