Bam Adebayo trolled fans amidst A’ja Wilson dating rumors with 2 hilarious WNBA tweets

Bam Adebayo continued to troll fans as rumors continue to swirl of him dating A’ja Wilson.

Olympic men’s basketball gold medalist Bam Adebayo has continued to troll fans as rumors continue to swirl that he is dating WNBA star A’ja Wilson.

The Las Vegas Aces center, who also recently won a gold medal for Team USA women’s basketball team during the Paris Olympics, will soon likely win 2024 WNBA MVP.

After she became the first player in league history to score 1,000 points in a single season, fans had nothing but praise for her accomplishment. That also included some love from Adebayo.

Adebayo not-so-subtly tweeted that he hopes “everybody finds A’thousand reasons to smile on this lovely Sunday” after Wilson set the record.

This was much like when the Miami Heat center tweeted the word “unanimous” but with an apostrophe after the first letter, presumably a reference to how Wilson spells her first name and how she deserves to win MVP by a unanimous vote.

He also gave a non to all the fans who were waiting for him to tweet about the achievement.

The Miami center has subtly tweeted about Wilson in the past as well, although the Aces star appeared to object to a reference to Adebayo from her team.

Even the mayor of Miami-Dade County has alluded to the potential couple, so these latest updates are anything but surprising.

Bam Adebayo’s subtle MVP tweet about A’ja Wilson had WNBA fans so happy

A recent Bam Adebayo tweet is practically SCREAMING A’ja Wilson’s name.

A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo have not publicly announced that they’re dating, but a recent series of events all but confirms the two are very likely an item.

Let me start by saying that A’ja and Bam don’t owe anyone a confirmation or an explanation about their dating lives. But, if something is happening, they are failing at keeping it under wraps. First, there was an sneaky handshake after the Team USA women won gold. Next, Bam subtly tweets words of encouragement after A’ja’s lousy shooting day against the Chicago Sky.

Then, A’ja’s teammates and Miami-Dade’s mayor dropped so many (unintentional but possibly intentional) dating hints when she attended an event where Bam received a key to the city. After that, the Aces dropped a sneaky “bam” reference after A’ja broke the single-season scoring record. Now, Bam has tweeted again with a specific spelling that is so A’ja-coded that it’s practically SCREAMING it’s for the MVP frontrunner.

It’s the word “unanimous” (likely meaning the center should be a unanimous selection for WNBA MVP) but spelled with an apostrophe — just like A’ja’s name.

Of course, fans had a TIME with Bam’s tweet. Here’s what they said:

A’ja Wilson appeared to object to a Bam Adebayo reference in an Aces tweet about her scoring record

A’ja Wilson didn’t appreciate this apparent Bam Adebayo reference.

On Wednesday night, Las Vegas Aces superstar A’ja Wilson broke the WNBA single-season scoring record with ease in a matchup against Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever. Wilson needed just the first half to get the necessary 12 points in order to break the previous mark held by Seattle Storm star Jewell Lloyd.

As messages of congratulations started ringing out for Wilson, the Las Vegas Aces seemingly referenced another important part of her life — dating rumors with Miami Heat talisman Bam Adebayo.

The Aces chose to use “BAM!” as the first word of their celebratory tweet for Wilson’s record. Wilson, naturally, objected to this but also, and this is crucial, didn’t deny anything!

OK, guys. Enough messing around. Let’s make this public and official already!

A’ja Wilson’s teammates and Miami-Dade’s mayor are really not helping her avoid the Bam Adebayo dating rumors

The A’ja Wilson-Bam Adebayo rumors are peaking again.

If A’ja Wilson wanted to avoid the Bam Adebayo dating rumors, her teammates and Miami-Dade’s mayor certainly aren’t helping.

Fans have been convinced that A’ja and Bam are an item for months. The two hoopers were spotted together in Las Vegas earlier this year, and the rumors swirled. It got even louder during the Olympics when fans caught wind of a subtle Aja-Bam handshake after the Team USA women won gold.

On Wednesday, the dating rumors started again when A’ja was in the audience as Bam received the keys to the city of Miami. The mayor of Miami-Dade County made things really awkward with a shoutout to A’ja, which included recognizing the star’s presence by saying,” I guess that has something to do with Bam and the Heat.”

As you can imagine, the clip spread quickly on social media, and A’ja Wilson’s teammates (Sydney Colson and Chelsea Gray) didn’t help.

Afterward, Aj’a jumped into the conversation by sharing an elite Jerry Spring meme that didn’t confirm or deny anything but definitely got fans going.

And, not to be left out, Bam seemingly entered the chat with thoughts of his own.

The 2024 Paris Olympics are in the rearview mirror and to no surprise, the United States once again earned a gold medal in basketball.

Led by a trio of NBA veterans, the U.S. men’s basketball roster was thrilling. Basketball fans were delighted to see LeBron James play with Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant at the same time and the results were incredible.

Now that the Olympics will leave France and the United States will become the next host nation, the focus will shift to what the roster could look like in 2028.

It is an impossible question to answer because so much of this depends on health, interest, coaching, development, and various other circumstances we can’t predict.

But based on what we know so far, factoring in age and relationships with the USA Basketball, here is our best guess as of right now:

Noah Lyles denies beef with Anthony Edwards

U.S. track and field sprinter Noah Lyles caused some more controversy this weekend:

“Two of the biggest stars from the United States at the 2024 Paris Olympics were Noah Lyles and Anthony Edwards.

Lyles and Edwards both became first-time Olympic gold medalists this summer. Before testing positive for COVID-19 and withdrawing from the Olympics this year, Lyles won a gold medal in the 100 meter for track and field. Edwards was a standout performer on the U.S. men’s basketball roster.

Both gold medalists have signed endorsement deals with the shoe company adidas. Recent reporting suggests that there is potentially animosity between the two, but Lyles is attempting to squash those growing rumors.”

Hoops fans thought A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo’s polite handshake was so unsubtle amid dating rumors

If A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo are trying to hide a relationship, they’re failing.

A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo play two important roles for Team USA women’s and men’s basketball respectively. Wilson is arguably the best women’s basketball player in the world. Adebayo is a stalwart NBA All-Star caliber center.

And after both elite players helped the Americans win two gold medals in Paris, some are recounting how convenient it is that their athletic primes are happening at the same time.

Why? Because it’s coincidentally very opportune that they get to play for Team USA at the same time.

After the Team USA women won gold on Sunday, Wilson approached Adebayo for a polite, elaborate handshake courtside. The little moment between the two comes as both were apparently spotted early last month hanging out together, sparking light dating rumors.

Instances like this handshake, where both Wilson and Adebayo couldn’t be more unsubtle, only add fuel to that fire. It’s kinda reminiscent of every major celebrity/athlete couple dancing around the obvious until they’re ready to go public. Of course, Wilson and Adebayo could just be hanging out as friends and have gotten close in that capacity. Neither have made any public comments about this either.

But also, if I’m being candid, that would be very boring!

And on that note, I have a message for the duo on behalf of fans who have been keeping tabs on this “mini-saga”: If you really are dating, just come out with it already! Let us all see more love!

Reminder that in high school, Team USA’s Olympic star Bam Adebayo was unstoppable

Bam Adebayo was good, even in high school.

Despite coming off the bench on Thursday, United States basketball’s Bam Adebayo was the leading scorer for the Americans in a 103-86 win in the Olympics.

And for those who have followed Adebayo’s career for a while, his dominant performance for the United States in the Olympics is to be expected.

As a class of 2016 recruit from High Point Christian (High Point, North Carolina), the now Miami Heat star was a five-star recruit and the seventh-best prospect in the nation according to Rivals. He picked Kentucky over offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Iowa State, Kansas, Louisville, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Wake Forest among others.

He showed unreal explosiveness and the ability to play above the rim. Not unlike his showing on Thursday for Team USA in the Olympics.

Check out some of these highlights of Adebayo:

Against South Sudan, Adebayo also added seven rebounds. He was 8-of-10 from the floor including making two of his three attempts from behind the arc.

Bam Adebayo leads Team USA to another Olympics victory

Team USA got a second win at the Olympics by defeating South Sudan on Wednesday.

Team USA got its first Olympic win by beating Serbia on Sunday, 110 – 84. On Wednesday, they faced former Wildcat Wenyen Gabriel and a good South Sudan team, and got the win by a score of 103 – 86.

Bam Adebayo led the way for Team USA, scoring 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting, including 2-of-3 from three-point range. He also had seven rebounds and two blocked shots.

Devin Booker also scored in double figures with 10 points. In addition, he led the team with six assists.

Anthony Davis had eight points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots. He was 4-of-7 from the field.

On the other side, Gabriel scored just two points, but he did have 10 rebounds for South Sudan.

Team USA and its three former Kentucky stars will play Puerto Rico next. That game will take place on August 3rd at 11:15 AM. Team USA will look to advance their record at the Olympics to 3 – 0 at that time.

Childhood friend, adult opponent of Jayson Tatum, Bam Adebayo on their Olympic partnership

“Another Olympic gold medal beside my man, it’d be a dope feeling,” said Adebayo.

When they face each other on the court as opponents, you would be hard-pressed to guess that star Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum and lifelong friend Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat were so close off the court. But now the duo are teammates for the US National Team as they gear up to compete for the gold in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

It is not the first time they have teamed up in such a capacity, which Adebayo spoke to a bit in a recent interview with the Boston Globe’s Adam Himmelsbach. “We’ve won one gold medal already, and we’ve known each other since we were 12,” said the star Heat big man.

“So having that opportunity to see each other grow in this league, but also through life and have another chance to get another Olympic gold medal beside my man, it’d be a dope feeling,” he added.

On the other side of the duo, Tatum is just relieved he won’t have to play against a pair of the better head coaches in the league.

“I played against (Miami Head coach Erik Spoelstra) so many times, so it’s good to be on the same team,” said the St. Louis native. “(Golden State Warriors head coach) Steve Kerr, too.”

Khaman Maluach talks about playing against his NBA idols during Team USA exhibition

Khaman Maluach, a future Duke Blue Devil, played against some all-time NBA forwards on Saturday, and the fact was not lost on him.

It’s one thing for incoming Duke basketball star [autotag]Khaman Maluach[/autotag] to play basketball. It’s another thing entirely to play basketball against players like Joel Embiid and Anthony Davis.

The 7-footer faced off against some of his NBA role models on Saturday when South Sudan played (and nearly beat) Team USA during an exhibition match in London.

Maluach gained even more attention than the projected lottery pick already had, especially after he threw down a dunk in the first quarter and made a corner 3-pointer. After the game, he talked about how hard it was to process that he was playing the sport he loved against players he’d watched for years.

“It was so crazy in the beginning,” Maluach said. “Especially seeing bigs I’ve been watching since I started playing basketball like Joel Embiid, A.D. (Anthony Davis), Bam (Adebayo), matching up with them was just something like I couldn’t imagine…like, ‘Oh, I’m playing against these guys.'”

Maluach did more than just play against them, too, as mentioned earlier. He finished the game with seven points, three rebounds, and a block.
