Former Vol Austen Jaslove announced his transfer destination on Thursday.

“Excited for the opportunity to continue my academic and athletic career at Arkansas state University,” Jaslove announced. “Thank you to my family, coaches and friends who have supported me with this decision. Ready to get to work.”

Jaslove appeared in 24 games, including 12 starts, for the Vols in 2023. He recorded eight RBIs, eight runs, four walks, one stolen base and a .189 batting average.

Jaslove redshirted in 2021 and did not appear in any games during the 2022 campaign.

Tennessee advanced to the College World Series in 2021 and 2023.

He came to the Vols from Christian Academy of Knoxville in Knoxville, Tennessee.

UT baseball gets two top signees from Knoxville.

KNOXVILLE — The University of Tennessee baseball team netted a pair of local signees during the fall signing period.

Both are currently high school seniors and play for two of the top prep programs and both have won Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association State Championships.

Christian Academy of Knoxville player Austen Jaslove and Farragut High School left-handed pitcher Drew Patterson both signed to play for the Volunteers in 2021.

Jaslove, a four-year varsity player for the Warriors, has played for three consecutive state championship teams.

The Warriors claimed consecutive Division II-A crowns in 2018 and 2019. CAK also won the Division I Class AA State Championship in 2017.

At CAK, Jaslove plays for Tennessee high school coaching legend Tommy Pharr.

Patterson, a left-hander for the Admirals has also had a solid career for Farragut.

He started the 2019 Class AAA State Championship Game in Murfreesboro. Farragut won that tilt to claim the state title.
