AEW Rampage results 08/11/23: Orange Cassidy does it again

AEW Rampage also featured Skye Blue vs. Saraya for a spot in the 4-way women’s championship match at All In.

Eventually, Orange Cassidy is going to lose his title. It’s probably not going to be tonight on AEW Rampage, though.

See, Cassidy is undefeated in singles matches this year, and has been absolutely heroic while defending his title against a seemingly nonstop wave of challengers. Not bad for someone whose gimmick is that he’s a slacker who really doesn’t want to wrestle.

But is his downfall coming tonight, against Johnny TV? That seems highly unlikely, but that’s why we watch.

Let’s see what this week’s Rampage has for us.

AEW Rampage results:

  • Darby Allin def. Brian Cage by pinfall, but gets attacked by TNT Champion Luchasaurus after the match, with Christian Cage watching like a hawk backstage
  • Renee Paquette talks to Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. about her matchup with The Bunny, who she says she respects but will have to go through her to get to the title match at All In
  • Eddie Kingston gives an update on how he’s doing in the G1 Climax 33 in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and also says he’ll defend his title from that company anywhere
  • Orange Cassidy def. Johnny TV by pinfall to retain the AEW International Championship, with Wheeler Yuta as a very interested observer on commentary; after the match, Cassidy calls Yuta to the ring, but Wheeler says if Orange puts his title on the line next week in Nashville, he’ll walk out with it
  • A video package goes through the history of the ROH World Tag Team Championship
  • Aussie Open def. The Outrunners by pinfall; afterward they address the challenge made to them by “Maxwell and Little Adam,” and accept that match on the All In Zero Hour pre-show
  • Jeff Jarrett tells us about the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Deathmatch, which … wait, what? (it’s apparently a promotion with a video game)
  • Saraya def. Skye Blue by pinfall with some help from the other Outcasts, of course, who also beat down Skye some more to end the show

AEW Rampage results: Final pieces in place for Revolution

Get AEW Rampage results for March 3, 2023 from San Francisco, the final show before AEW Revolution.

San Francisco, what’s up? Well, lots of AEW, for one thing. The promotion has been there since mid-week, holding Dynamite and now Rampage, both live, before finishing with Revolution on Sunday night.

Because of the PPV looming, this is an especially packed Rampage card. It starts with a four-way tag team match that should be lots of fun, with Top Flight, Dark Order’s Alex Reynolds and John Silver, BCC’s Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta, and Aussie Open all doing battle.

Two men who both have beef with the same guy, Keith Lee and Dustin Rhodes, will tag up against that guy, Swerve Strickland, and his Mogul Affiliate henchman Parker Boudreaux.

There are singles matches in store too. Riho and Emi Sakura, two of the few women not really wrapped up in the homegrown vs. invaders battle, will face off. And poor Serpentico will have to climb in the ring against Powerhouse Hobbs, something we don’t wish on our worst enemies.

Well, OK, yes we do. But only our very worst enemies.

Anyway, yes, this should be a fast-paced and entertaining hour of pro wrestling, and who knows? Maybe it’ll even set something up for the Revolution pre-show or something.

AEW Rampage results in 30 seconds:

  • Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta def. Top Flight, Aussie Open and Alex Reynolds and John Silver
  • The Jon Moxley and Hangman Adam Page promos from Dynamite are replayed and interspersed
  • Jack Perry says a fight isn’t enough to finish things with Christian Cage, and he’s going to put him in the ground … in The Final Burial
  • Riho def. Emi Sakura by pinfall
  • Ruby Soho, Saraya and Jamie Hayter all share short promos ahead of their AEW Women’s World Championship match at Revolution
  • Powerhouse Hobbs def. Serpentico by pinfall
  • Konosuke Takeshita tells Renee Paquette that he keeps falling short and might need to go back to Japan, but Don Callis asks for a little of his time before he does it
  • Mark Briscoe feels good, he feels strong, and the Lucha Bros. will have his back against Mark Sterling’s goons on the Revolution pre-show
  • Dustin Rhodes and Keith Lee def. Swerve Strickland and Parker Boudreaux by pinfall
  • Ricky Starks attacks Chris Jericho at the announce table, ending the show with the brawl still in progress

AEW Rampage results: Young Bucks get a W but House of Black is hunting them

Get quick AEW Rampage results for February 24, 2023, with the Young Bucks taking on Aussie Open.

You know what would be a cool way for a wrestling fan to end a Friday night (or kick one off, if you’re young enough for such things)? The Young Bucks vs. Aussie Open on free TV. Lo and behold, that’s what we’ve got on this episode of AEW Rampage.

That’s the good stuff, baby. Also good stuff is Action Andretti, everyone’s favorite out of nowhere story, back in … ahem, action. He’s taking on Sammy Guevara in what should be a real test of his in-ring chops.

Plus there’s the not so small detail of Revolution being less than 10 days away. There’s room on the card for a few more matches, so we’ll see if this episode confirms some.

Sounds like a pleasant hour to us. Let’s see how it shakes out.

AEW Rampage results in 30 seconds:

  • Young Bucks def. Aussie Open by pinfall, but the lights go out afterward, and the House of Black surrounds the ring until they disappear when the lights go out again
  • Best Friends are getting another chance in the Casino Battle Royale, but they don’t have a chance to talk about it as they get assaulted by The Firm and The Gunns
  • Orange Cassidy and Danhausen want to know who attacked their friends
  • Toni Storm def. Willow Nightingale by pinfall after a distraction by Saraya, though Ruby Soho chased off the heels before they could spray paint Willow, and Jamie Hayter came out to brawl with Saraya
  • The Acclaimed are feeling good, but not as much after an attack by Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal and company
  • Who’s left for Jade Cargill? Whoever is needs to come and see her
  • Lance Archer def. Bryce Saturn by pinfall
  • Keith Lee and Dustin Rhodes want a piece of Swerve Strickland and the Mogul Affiliates and they’re going to get it next week
  • Stokely Hathaway says Matt Hardy will take on Hook next week, and his teammates seem like they’ve agreed to some pretty absurd stipulations
  • Sammy Guevara def. Action Andretti by pinfall, and Chris Jericho comes from the commentary table to the ring to congratulate him

AEW Dynamite results: The Elite, United Empire heat up Trios tourney

Get AEW Dynamite results for the August 31, 2022 show from Chicago, with a trios tourney semifinal between The Elite and United Empire.

Welcome to Chicago, or nearby Chicago, anyway, for the kickoff to an entire week of AEW live shows that culminates at All Out. As per usual, there is business to attend to before we can get to the pay-per-view, and some of that will be settled tonight on TBS on AEW Dynamite.

Let’s begin with the World Trios Championship tournament, which is down to just four remaining teams. On the Dynamite side, the reinvigorated Elite, consisting of the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega, will take on the United Empire threesome of Will Ospreay and Aussie Open. Not only can all six men in this matchup really go, but Omega and Ospreay have a rivalry dating back to their time in NJPW that has turned pretty personal pretty quickly since Omega returned.

Want another pick for great in-ring action? A four-way battle between Wheeler Yuta, Rey Fenix, Dante Martin and Rush definitely fits the bill. AEW is hyping this as a preview of Sunday’s Casino Ladder match, which already looks like a barnburner even before all eight contestants have been revealed.

Bryan Danielson, a pretty darn good wrestler himself who you might have heard of, will also be in action on Dynamite. He’ll face Jake Hager, who is kind of a stand-in for the moment for Chris Jericho, Danielson’s All Out opponent.

Last but certainly not least, we’ll hear from AEW World Champion Jon Moxley, who is conspicuously without a title match on one of the biggest cards of the year. Some reports have hinted that he may run it back with CM Punk, which would be … unusual booking, to say the least, but we’ll know soon enough.

That’s a properly loaded card, or so it would appear. Here’s hoping you’re by a big old flatscreen and can watch everything as it goes down, but just in case, we’ll be in this very post updating it with the latest AEW Dynamite results in close to real time throughout the night.

AEW Rampage results: FTR, Trent defend AEW honor against Will Ospreay, Aussie Open

Check out AEW Rampage results for the June 10, 2022 episode from Independence, Missouri near Kansas City.

The Forbidden Door picture is starting to come into focus more and more with each passing show, but with a few weeks left until AEW and NJPW collide in Chicago, there are more twists to come. Will Ospreay proved that on Dynamite, unleashing some of his United Empire.

Tonight on Rampage, FTR and Trent Beretta will try to make sure that invasion doesn’t go unpunished, facing Ospreay and Aussie Open in a trios match. We’re also going to hear from Hook and Danhausen (well, probably just Danhausen, as Hook tends to be a man of few words), and see Eddie Kingston square up with Jake Hager.

Let’s do this, pre-recorded from just outside Kansas City.

AEW Rampage results in 30 seconds:

  • Eddie Kingston def. Jake Hager by pinfall
  • Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. tells Toni Storm (via Tony Schiavone) that it was arrogant to put her hands on the AEW Women’s World Championship and she needs to get in line
  • Jay Lethal and Satnam Singh def. Davey Vega and Mike Fichett by pinfall
  • Danhausen and Hook show off the new fancy golf carts they bought after winning their match at Double or Nothing
  • Kris Statlander def. Red Velvet by pinfall, but the Baddies attack after the match, Anna Jay is beaten down trying to help, and Athena is prevented from assisting as well
  • Ethan Page differentiates himself from Miro by saying he looks up to, believes in and prays to himself
  • “You open the door, don’t be afraid of who walks through.” Will Ospreay says they are in AEW to separate the sheep from the GOATS, but Trent Beretta says he likes Ospreay even less than he did in NJPW
  • FTR and Trent Beretta def. Will Ospreay and Aussie Open by pinfall
