The Oklahoma Sooners women’s gymnastics squad continues to find new ways to electrify and excite. They set a new all-time mark with a 198.950 in their Big 12 championship win.
Along the way, Jordan Bowers claimed the all-around title with perfect 10s in three events, the vault and uneven bars, and shared the floor title with Faith Torrez, who scored her first career perfect score. Ragan Smith took home the beam title with a perfect score of her own to help the Sooners clinch their third consecutive conference title.
It is the 15th Big 12 title for the Sooners and the 14th won by head coach K.J. Kindler since coming to Norman in 2006.
In a run that’s been as dominant as any across collegiate athletics, the Oklahoma Sooners left a lasting impression. OU took home 10 individual team honors, including Jordan Bowers’ Gymnast of the Year award.
